Everything was perfect. The place, the food, everything. Apart from the "chuleton de buey", we also tried a tomato salad, so simple but so tasty, two or three starters (also very good) and a red wine. An experience to remember...More

A temple to meat. This was my second visit - both times we went to see the impressive, massive cows. Alfredo the maitre d' is the epitome of service itself. As a trained chef he really takes you through the food and the choices if...More

This place lives up to its reputation. The meat is tasteful, soft, buttery, just spectacular. It is not cheap but it's worth it. We didn't like the place as it is too dark and small but after you start eating you forget about it.

The wine cellar basement was one of the coolest settings I've ever had in a restaurant. It was like you had your own corner dug out in a cave. Before we ate a server came around with burning embers of oak for a very cool...More

Very tasty carpaccio, cecina (cured meat) and, of course, the t-bone is the main attraction; however, we also tasted their aged beef from 'old cow', and it was also delicious. Outstanding wine selection, well chosen and looked after by their sommelier. Friendlier chefs than serving...More

Unbeatable Beef in an exquisite surrounding; the restaurant is underground in natural caves, typical of the area meant to store cereals, wine, oil etc. Frankly a singular experience of lifetome.

I think there is no good connection with public transport, you can always rent a car and spend the night in Leon or a nearby town

El Capricho offers those who dare venture into a more original and unknown Spain a whole sensory experience of tastes, textures and flavours.
We have a special respect for tradition, quality, the environment and of course, for the oxen.
