nice setting in the center of historic town of Ivrea, restored interior, excellent food, both local (piemontese) as wells as Southern (Napoletano). recommended!

Have been to La Lucciola, opposite the station, a few times, as there are not many restaurants open on a Monday night in Biella. Always very busy with locals and a typical Italian atmosphere. The Focacce with Parma ham, Ruccola and Parmigiana, sprinkled with Olive oil Picante, was out of this world. I would normally not be able to eat... More

Busy place on a Thursday evening late February. The pizza with Boletus mushroom was very good, and the serivce was also good. But.... drum roll.... "Tarta chocolata" (spelling??) which looked like a lonely slice of dry cake was out of this world. Order some Limincello with it and a coffee and you will be in heaven. Four pizzas, wine and... Had dinner with several friend on a weeknight in June. The place is always very busy, however I am not quite sure why. Decided to have their fish fry (frittura mista), which seemed quite sparse and was not very tasty. We were not the last to leave, however some of the staff made it clear we were not so welcome... We went to the City center on a Tuesday evening to look for a dinner place. The town seems to be deadly quiet in the evening and most restaurants were closed even. Ended up in this hidden place where all the locals came in as well. Typical Italian restaurant with bar and plenty of space in back for dining. Whole... More

A buzzy and social atmosphere, supplemented by classic decor, responsive service and tasty local dishes make this pizzeria an eatery of choice. Try it ...it won't break the bank or sully your palate!

I am Italian as a man could be... I am from Rome and I live in the surroundings of Ivrea since 1983 and since then La Lucciola is the place where I go when i want to have a real pizza! There you can find a lot of other very good dishes, all you can think of. Enjoy!

This reminded me what a pizza should really be like. We used to eat here in the 70s when working for Olivetti in Ivrea and it was a favourite then. There was even a waiter still working there from that time. Service was very good and the pizza crisp and just the right thickness.

the only pizzeria in Italy that knows how to make a pizza. the further south i go the worse they are. do not recommend pizza in Rome ! the staff are all from the south and know what they are doing no pretensions here - you want pepper ? then serve yourself with the pepper pot provided
