The best restaurant in Amalfi. The food is incredible, authentic and everything fresh. Recipes I’ve never tasted before. Truly Michelin level food and I told the owner numerous times to apply for Michelin status.
If you’re looking for Americanized Italian food (red sauce, obese portions, etc), this is not your place. This is food that is real Italian art. I was saddened at how many people opted to have frozen pizzas and American / British bastardized Italian food at other restaurants catering to tourists when real Italy was offered at this restaurant.
The lemon trees and staff are wonderful too. I was in Maiori for 2 weeks and ate there almost daily. I just told the owner to bring me anything, and I wasn’t disappointed once. Very kind man with so much passion for making the best food.
I know this review may be a bit overboard but it’s honest. I loved the food that much. I’ve traveled all over the world and eaten at some of the best tables but I’ve never had a more authentic meal created with such love for the food and culture. It’s truly a culinary experience. I can’t remember ever taking so many pictures of food and never a menu. I’m buying the owner’s cookbook when I get home.
Seriously, if you’re on the Amalfi coast, you must go.

We dined here twice during our stay in Maiori because the food, staff and scenery were so great. Highly recommend the 5 dish selection starter which my partner and I loved, the rest of the food we ordered was of an equally high standard too. Our waiter Andrea was especially attentive, remembering us from our first visit and was very friendly. Finally, the scenery under the lemon grove makes for an all-round wonderful evening. We hope to come back soon!

Almost walked past this restaurant as it did not look like much to the world. However, I peeked in and saw their courtyard which was incredibly cozy with its lemon trees. I went in and met the waitress Anne-Marie who kindly answered my questions about menu and food in very good English, I found out later that she also knew German and Italian. The tranquility of the courtyard and the friendliness of the waitress decided our decision to sit down and enjoy our evening dinner which was fantastic.

BAD. Food was terrible.
Gnochi pomodoro worse than pomodoro from a can, it was dense and bitter. My children left the plates practically untouched. Adults had soulless fish. Salad fresh but just oK.

Dear lady, maybe you and your daughters have never eaten real genuine tomato sauce, made with real tomatoes. And I can understand this! What I can't understand is why lying about prosecco. I remind you that it was one of your daughters who overturned the glass of prosecco and It was saved by my waiter, in any case if you had asked us to refill the prosecco we would have done so. I give a coupon for a bottle of wine to anyone who comes to my restaurant, why not replace a little bit of prosecco. About your salad it was a side dish of mixed salad, I don't understand what it had to be.

Inside looks promissing, atmosphere is nice. But when it comes to the food, which is the most important point of the restaurant, it is very dissapointing. Dishes are highly overrated, e.g.: plate of salad is literally one salad leaf sliced in pieces (5€). Ravioli stuffed with so many ingredients as it says on the menu (clams, squids, etc.) is basically stuffed with curd. 7 pieces of ravioli cost 20€. That is too much.
In addition to all this dissapointment, waiter didn’t even ask what was wrong, when i said food wasn’t as good as expected. So how can you improve your business, when you don’t know what’s wrong with the quality.
In short: bad experience.

The owner is very arrogant. When asked if he has something for my 3 year old daughter he told me go in another restaurant. My wife ordered fillet and altough i am not italian i understand that he told.somwthing about my children. The waiter came and said he have no meat. When we asked what we can take he said chicken and my wife asked what price and he said same as.meat. we went and in passing by the owner said to me i told you to go in another restaurant.

At the door you asked me if we made chicken nuggets and I told you that we are a fish specialty restaurant and to go to another restaurant that surely could satisfy you. I don't know why you decided to enter anyway. You sat down and asked for the same things. We are a fish specialty restaurant with very traditional local dishes. We don't do tourist dishes so I suggested you to go to another restaurant. I wanted to do you a favor. You left and I didn't even charge you for the water you used. You ate nothing and took the time to give me a bad review. Thank you!!

This is a real tourist trap. They have a courtyard at the back with some lemons hanging above but they make it sound so romantic but it’s not. The waitress seemed agitated. We ordered seafood pasta from the menu 20 euros but because we didn’t order anything else they upgraded our order to a main meal without telling us so obviously the price was much higher. (We had a late lunch so wanted a small meal). Then there was a mixup with our bill. We had to pay extra but not given a breakdown of our bill. So very confusing. So the whole experience was not as good as hoped. Lots of other nice restaurants to eat that don’t charge so much to sit under lemons. Over rated.

Starting to think as soon as you see branded polo shirts on the waiters it must be a tourist trap.
Confusing menu that looks like a broadsheet menu.
Pasta apparently homemade is heavy and average. Desert theoretically Strega ice cream with wild berries turned out to be bland and tiny with squirty cream smears of jam to design a large plate.
Style over substance.
Garden nice.
House red poor. House frizante white is nice.
Somewhat pricy. 40 euros a head with half a bottle of house plonk.

You are the classic "distracted" tourist accustomed to generalist "Italian sound" food. We offer only the genuine seafood cuisine of the Amalfi coast with only very traditional dishes. Here you will find only the Authentic Amalfi Coast cuisine, much more difficult for tourists like you to understand. Thank you!

We had cocktails, wine, mains, and dessert. The house white wine was very good. We ordered the sea bass ravioli which was flavorless to our surprise. My wife had the risotto with scampi which was very good and my son had the zucchini pasta which was average. It a very nice setting under the lemon trees although you wouldn’t expect it to be so big from the front entrance. My main issue with just the average rating is the general attitude of Al the staff, very unfriendly as if they don’t want people to be there. When you spend $180 on a dinner it is nice to have at least friendly service. I don’t need a waiter to be overly friendly but a smile and just a nice demeanor would have been nice from anyone who worked there. I would choose a different place in town there are friendlier options.

The six of us had a lovely evening. Really good food, very fresh fish with some classic dishes of the coastal tradition and some reinterpretations, with particular attention to the ingredients (if I'm not mistaken, a slow food restaurant).
At least two vegan proposals caught my eye just as frozen proposals did NOT catch my eye (which is only a good thing).
Speed also in service and preparation of dishes.
The staff and owner are professional and good at explaining the dishes and dispelling all doubts, but also before eating: I had no problems making a reservation despite it often being difficult in other places here on the coast.
Our portions were generous and my fried food was rich not only in squid but also in other fish, such as mullet etc.. I appreciated it very much! Truly special desserts, above all the puff pastry with ice cream!
Excellent environment especially as a location, I think one of a kind (you don't eat under the lemon trees every day!).
Ultimately, certainly a restaurant where the value for money is stellar, if we then consider the average prices of the coast even more so given the quality offered not only for the food but also for the professionalism and the location!
However, in general we note a study and a basic idea that denotes first of all passion and respect for the territory and the ingredients as well as professionalism, not improvising as restaurateurs from night to morning but studying locations, dishes and service!

Very nice place, inside a very pleasant lemon grove. Nice atmosphere, very kind staff and ready to respond quickly to our requests. We chose an appetizer "il mare del pineta" based on mixed seafood delicacies, good, 2 first courses, one of which, scialatielli allo scoglio, truly excellent, the other "sea forest", excellent, and 2 desserts, a lemon delight, discreet, and coastal scent, truly remarkable, to then finish with the leaflet, a liqueur made from the tender leaves of the lemon, which certainly deserved it.
Medium-high price, but the quality, atmosphere and courtesy we found made us spend a very pleasant evening in this place.

We have found this place by accident, booked a table for dinner only having seen a few pictures of it on google. When we arrived early for our booking, we were greeted by Luciana, who has very kindly led us to our table nevertheless.
The setting of the restaurant’s back garden is simply amazing. We felt very happy with our choice, the staff were all extremely helpful and despite our lack of Italian, they were very courteous and attentive, explaining everything in perfect English to us.
Our only issue came with one of the dishes, La Tagliata, sliced veal with a nice salad. It must have been lost in translation as we asked for well done but received the meat rather pink inside. Nevertheless, Luciana has kindly taken care of it and redelivered the dish done just perfectly.
Altogether we were very happy with the service and the quality of food, highly recommend this venue!

Excellent dinner(s) in Maiori.
We have been twice during our week in Maiori.
The backyard creates a very quiet space far enough from the main street; in addition, being surrounded by the lemons is a unique experience.
We are big fans of the “slow food” philosophy and approach and we were not disappointed! We loved seafood antipasti (alici and carpaccio), including the primi and secondi (we loved the smoked ombrina).
On top of that, the staff is very attentive and friendly.
Absolutely recommended and we would certainly go back a third time in case of a future visite to Amalfi coast.

The front of restaurant / entrance doesn't prepare you for the excelent setup of the garden - quite area under lemon trees. Staff were very friendly and described every option they have in the menu. Where the food was served ... this is another story ... an excellent food experience. Everything was delicious and served up to high standards. We enjoyed every single bite of their food. A bit pricey, but if you want an excellent seafood experience (don't go there if you want to eat anything else than seafood) this is the place.
