Lovely meals, rustic style dishes in the back lanes of Maratea. Something different than the usual pizza and pasta. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something with great flavour and a bit left of centre.

If you want to try rustic Italian food then this is the place. Varied interesting menu and the portions are large. We had the beef as our mains which was tender and tasty the side order of potatoes was delicious but one portion between two would have been sufficient. We visited on a week night in October so it wasn't... More

Genuine food, well prepared from traditional cuisine typical of the region. Good wines and service. Highly recommend. Try podolica steak even if you don't like meat. These cows roam the hill above Maratea eating mountain herbs, pasture and flowers.

We had a one night stopover in Maratea and had to pick one place and boy did we pick right. The staff were helpful, the food was amazing and deeply rooted in basilicata history. Absolutely great.

Well, when you are here in Maratea probably you look for sea dishes. But, if you want to taste real "lucanian" cousine, dishes from tradition of the outback, flavour that farmers and shepherd were used to taste; this is the right place for you. Situaded in the charateristic alleys of the centre, it is a real good place where spend... More

This restaurant is not easy to find being just off the main street, but is well worth the effort. The ambiance is low key with tables being in an alley/small square leading to the restaurant and the welcome and service was friendly (with the attentive waitresses speaking good English). The focus here is on simple, hearty, regional dishes and there’s clearly... The food was very typical of the region and very alternative. Small but nice outside sitting. The smell of gas and the kitchen was too strong. We ordered a type of vegetable soup and cacio cavallo and mixed grill vegetables. The soup was thick and very filling. The grilled vegetables were very tasty and the fried cheese (cacio cavallo) was... More

Loved this small restaurant tucked out of the way off the Main Street. The food was excellent, the cuisine was wonderfully cooked local dishes. The mixed offal, and the Ciminale beef were amazing. The local wine was cheap and quite quaffable.Try this place!

Tipical regional restaurant revisited. Cool atmosphere in the old and narrow alleys of the historical town center. Nice and friendly staff serving regional and meat courses. After dinner with Juan's cocktails. Good music. Speaking italian, english, spanish, french and some portuguese.
