The Stella Alpina is a friendly local bar in Croce the top part of Menaggio . Here you can get tasty snacks and drinks and the ice cream is Homemade by the owner Fabrizio and his wife Eva . And have got to say one of the best in menaggio If you are realy hungry they may just make you some pasta !! The bar is open from early in the morning till late in the evening and is handy if you have hiked up from menaggio and are on your way to visit the "crocette( the trenchs from the 1st World War which are just 20 mins further up the road( the view from both the little church\war memorial to the alpine regiment and the cross 3 mins from there looking towards bellagio and beyond are certainly worth the walk !! ) I can highly reommend the "Stella Alpina" !!! If you are staying locally just pop in and you can get some ice cream to take away !! They also have free wi-fi .

The place was very near our house and was just fine to go there in the evening to have a ice cream or a toast. The Service is perfect, you will feel really like home. you can also have a good wine and if you ask in the morning you can have Pasta at night.

Nice service. Ice creams of average quality. There are better ice creams in Menaggio. Small parking on the opposite side of the street. Nothing special.
