La Torre is authentic, old school Tuscan at it's best. Our waiter spoke little to no English but we got through it and it was fun! Prices were very reasonable, food and atmosphere are outstanding which make this place a must. This is another gem not to miss!

We wish we could rate this restaurant 6 or 7 stars!!! This wonderful place is in the small piazza in the "high up on the hill" village of Montecatini Alto. The charm starts when you board the funicular that takes you up the 600+ foot hill to this ancient (12th century) village. We ate here 2 nights in a row... More

Slightly on the expensive side but correctly priced for what we ordered = high quality. Great atmosphere both inside and out . The trip in the Funiculare up to the old town added to wqhat was a special occasion in an historical atmosphere.

We went to Montecatini Alto this evening coming from Pisa and it totally worth the trip. Montecatini Alto is a wonderful place where you can feel like going back in time. The La Torre is situated in the central piazza which is filled with restaurants. We chose this place and we were delighted by the delicious food. The panzanella, the... More

Beautiful both inside and la Fresca, the good and service were impressive. The restaurant is attached to the last of several defensive towers from the Medici estate.

Nice view of the plaza, the food was good, especially the bread, but a bit overpriced. Service was slow and inattentive.

Excellent meal in lovely surroundings. It was great to sit and eat and watch the world go by in this busy little piazza.

It is an 'old style' restaurant in the plaza of Montecatini Alto... very attractive! The restaurant is elegant, the food good and the wine as well. The staff was not particularly friendly

Went to Alte via the little tramway, had a nice stroll in the town. La Torre was more than happy to accommodate 3 dads with 5 kids, although the terrace was already quite filled. Had a great lunch only Italians can make. Some pasta, some meat, and good wine. Tramway down again. Easily recommended.
