We had meetings with our business partners several times at La Petronilla. We ask always for specialties and love them (e.g. beans with bottarga, salmon with sedano and as main course picatta milanese).

Ate in here as it was near to our hotel. The staff speak little English however it was better than out Italian. You don't seem to be able to order wine by the glass, only the bottle which was not explained to us and there was no option not to have it. The food is very good and probably in... More

Not a lot of restaurants to choose from in Porto Cervo at this time of year. La Petronilla was close to our hotel & we thought we should give it a try. If your host takes a liking to you eg you have a small baby or are a pretty young girl, then it is attention + +. If however... More

I've read a few other reviews of La Petronilla before typing my own and have noticed an interesting correlation for strong reviews among locals and awful for visitors. Also translated the restaurant's response to one review and was left astonished by what was nothing short of casual racism. (See Igorslv review) Our experience correlates with those of other outside visitors.... More

My husband and I are regular visitors here. Meals are made even better by the warm welcome and atmosphere created by Massimo the proprietor. Specials are fagioli and bottarga, spaghetti carbonara, rigatoni Petronilla, fritto misto and the wide selection of delicious veal dishes....Zabaglione is to die for! Prices are very favourable indeed especially for Porto Cervo. An unmissable stop when... More

My husband and I discussed that this is possibly the worst restaurant we have ever visited in all of Europe! We are staying right behind it and working extremely long hours so need to eat out every night. Our 1st night we decided to try it as if it was good we would probably eat here nearly every night for... More

We stayed a week at at the Porto Cervo area and we were so happy to find this restaurant! We went there three times for dinner. When you look for something authentic but not too fancy (which is difficult around Porto Cervo), this is the place to be. Especially the pasta a la petronilla as primo piatto is fantastic, the... we were disappointed from the restaurant. We think it was not value for money. They charged 5€ couvert for each person and although they said 10% for service they charged 12% for service. The food was moderate, indifferent . At the restaurant we went about 8 o clock in the evening. Only an older and a younger man were there... More

We loved this authentic Sardinian restaurant. Yes it only has one great view table and the waiter/owner is a bit eccentric,,but the food is delicious home cooked style and the atmosphere is quaint Italian charm as the place only seats about 20 people inside and another 12 outside. We ate here for lunch and returned for dinner the same day.... More

Disappointing experience, place smells of smoke, food was very average & the gent running the restaurant seemed disinterested, we had the TV & the Radio on as back ground sounds. I suggest you look for somewhere else to eat!

Historic restaurant, visit from Vip and buongustai.Pleasant, to family management, it proposes an unusual match among Sardinian cuisine and Tuscan, fruit of the mixed origins of the holders. Recommended therefore the Spaghetti with sea-urchins, but also Ribollita to the farmer, the Orates to the vernaccia as the Florentine Beefsteak, the Seadases with bitter honey and the Cantucci with the Vin Santo. The all enjoying some splendid panorama of Porto Cervo.
