We ate a delicious lunch here - tomato / mozzarella / basil salad for starter, then calzone with the lightest, tastiest crust; a lovely mild white fish; and wonderful scialatielli ai frutti di mare. Have the espresso con panna as dessert - so much cream you can stir it into the espresso and eat it as mousse.

We were very happy with our meal with the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks in the background. The menu is not expensive considering the amazing view. The service was excellent and the complimentary Lemon Chello was a treat. Would definitely return when next visiting perfect Positano. We also had drinks at the bar area and received lovely... More

I've lived in Italy for two years, with Italians as flatmates and enjoy cooking myself - so I know what authentic Italian food tastes like. In short, the carbonara was an absolute disgrace and looked more like scrambled egg. Worse still, it was close to flavourless. In my humble view, La Pergola suffers from the all-too-common and popular affliction in... More

Although the town was very busy we had a table by the beach for lunch and looked forward to enjoying ourselves. The service was slow and the food was very poor; some tired and limp leaves masquerading as a salad and a 'bog standard' pizza that Brakes or Iceland would probably not be proud of. So we did the British... More

We always looked for a daily gelato fix. We were done on the beach and saw this place. I did a quick search for best gelato in Positano and this name came up first. It was excellent and they also had shaded seating.

Average quality food, with slightly inflated 'tourist' prices. The service was nothing to write home about, but it was miles ahead of what you will expect from some of their beach front neighbours.

We didn't realize that restaurants don't open until 1pm in Positano except for La Pergola. Reviews seemed decent so we gave it a try, what a horrible mistake! I LOVE spaghetti al vongole but this is by far the worst I have had. The clams were so fishy, clearly not fresh. I had a bad clam that made me actually... More

We were a party of three looking for a lunch spot. Places here do not open until 12:30pm for, lunch. This was open for, drinks and snacks. We sat down around 12:10 and ordered a bottle of local red wine and it was good. We started with Calamari Fritti served with a delicious tomato sauce. It was lightly battered and fried. While... We went to have appetizers and asked if this was possible as it was late in the day. The hostess told the waiter we inquired about having apps and my wife and I wondered why he laughed. We were seated and then not acknowledged for another 20 minutes. There was only one other couple on the terrace and we watched... More

We ate here for lunch on our last day in Positano. I wish we ate there on our first day because we would have eaten there daily. The service was amazing as was the food and presentation. It was fresh and cooked to perfection, the wine was good as well. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the... More
