Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went to buy local sweets, we were welcomed by the kindness of a young baker who explained something about the products, but also about the town and the surrounding areas. As for the desserts, mostaccioli and others, truly delicious.
On the door of the restaurant, a blow-up of a beautiful girl in traditional costume. And we met that girl sitting a few meters away on a bench (even though sixty years had passed since that photo) and we were able to chat with her a bit too.

Back home after a beautiful weekend in the Abruzzo National Park, we stopped at this artisan pastry workshop to taste their unique cookies. My Saves are Scanno's mostaccioli, with a slightly flattened shape compared to the classic mostaccioli. Always a long line at the entrance, but worth it.

Walking through the center we were attracted by the delicious smell of cookies that came from the driveway. On the way down we found this characteristic biscuit shop, which churns out biscuits and sweets typical of the place. I bought takeaway of the big cookies with the icing and dough of nuts and must and the other smaller always base must.
Exquisite, still warm, fresh from the oven.
It also has variations such as donuts, macaroons.
Top.

This evening my husband and I bought the best mostaccioli in Scanno.
Quality and goodness to be savored at a very honest price. The amaretti biscuits are also excellent. Highly recommended.
Greetings also to the owner's son who is courteous and kind like few others.

The only place where you can buy bread in Scanno... at least in a bakery. It's also baked at 8 p.m. The bread is ok but nothing great. The next day unfortunately it is a bit rubbery. Average doughnuts, delicious salted taralli.

It seems to enter another era (a bit like in the whole village of Scanno). The cookies are great and the guy who served us was kind and welcoming. A must, in the heart of a village still in time.

It is a delightful little corner located in a very small street in the center of Scanno. Very fresh and delicious biscuits. After a week the macaroons I purchased are still fresh! I would return to Scanno just to return to this pastry shop! Really good. Compliments

Went to this little bakery and loved it!! You have to ring the door bell and the man will open his 2nd story window and say Prego, Uno Momento! and he will be right down to let you in!! You know you are there because he has a large picture of a woman dressed In the traditional Scannese dress and hat...I think it is his grandmother...He has Mostaciolli and Chumbelini and biscotti just like my Nonna made!!! He speaks no English but we got by!

the biscuits are just divine! small shops with the best biscuits I ever took for sure. home made and delicious. they have a variety and you have to try them all, it would be a sin to do otherwise. at first you think it is closed but you just need to ring the bell and the owner comes to open. a must visit if you are in the abruzzo region

They have the most wonderful Mostoccioli. I've only tasted the ones available in local New York Italian bakeries, usually imported. These were the best I've tasted. it is a unique flavor, which I think make include cardamon. They are covered with chocolate and are excellent. I had another cookie, but don't remember the name and it was just as good.

We were in Scanno for just one day, but I have to say that it was a magical experience. The town is truly a fairytale, with the mountains and the lake, it is very much a typical Italian small-town. We had been recommended the biscotteria and when we saw the line to buy the biscotti, we knew why! The smell was incredible, the store is super small, so everyone waits outside and when you go in, the heat of the oven and the attention of its owner makes you feel accomplished. We bought mostaccioli al cioccolato (like a chocolate brownie/cookie with almonds), amaretti (warm, wonderful, soft cookies with almond that just melts in your mouth) and biscotti al latte (the usual milk cookie to eat at breakfast); everything was just wonderful. We saw the making of a "green log" (verde) that seemed like a giant chocolate cookie with a gooey center. It was really wonderful, and I fully recommend it. We ate them while we went on an off-road trip to Frattura Vecchia, and old inhabited city which its earthquake gave the city its lake, and town from which the view of the lake takes a heart shape. Simply wonderful.

I can't imagine how such a tiny shop can produce such volumes of beautiful and delicious cookies. I didn't give 5 stars because for me, it was a bit expensive but it was vacation!

On Strada Silla near Grazia's craft shop, this little cookie bakery is a few steps down from street level and easy to miss. It is Family run and home made Cookies typical of the Scanno region. My favorite cookies in this vintage shop are the mandorle - a chewy sweet macaroon. ,
