Small, casual family run Osteria with excellent strangozzi alla spoletina, soup of mixed pulses and stuffed artichokes. Love this place and recommend highly.

We were wondering around the shops in Spoleto when all of a sudden it was 12:30 and the shops were mostly closed. So we decided it was time for lunch anyway and not wanting to eat pizza or street food, we looked for a sit down restaurant with table service. While walking we saw a sign that pointed down a... The gnocchi was some of the best I have had. The chicken cacciatore was good. The lamb was tasty. Service was very attentive. The only issue was when we paid our check I left 120 euro on a 98 euro tab (didn't have anything smaller for a tip) and they never offered to bring change back and my Italian isn't... More

We decided to try this restaurant for dinner today and were very pleased with our decision. We received a warm welcome from Umberto and his wife, and he explained the various dishes on the menu to us. We chose starters and main courses, all of which were delicious, however visitors should be aware that unlike other countries, main courses such... More

Ate here 4 years ago and returned for lunch this year. Umberto gave a big smile when I showed him the photo from 2012. Awesome local place and very busy. The decor is overdone Italian tacky but it just makes the experience better! Pappardelle con broccoli e salsiccia, carciofi ripieni, crescionda di Spoleto=Pasta with broccoli and bits of Umbrian sausage,... More

Again, the staff (family run business I believe) dealt with out broken Italian kindly! I had tagliatelle with mushrooms, followed by stuffed courgettes. So, so tasty. OH had the tomato and basil ravioli followed by chicken and some vegetables. Again, he thoroughly enjoyed it. The tiramisu that we both had was the best tiramisu I have ever, ever had! It... More

This little Osteria is decorated as a quaint, old fashioned kitchen. The food fits the bill. Simple, rustic dishes in huge quantities. The mixed anti pasta would have fed us for lunch easily. Add in a healthy serving of pasta or gnocchi and you are stuffed. Wash it down with a bottle of the vino da casa and you need... More

Went here a long time ago (March 2004) and found it to be simply delightful. From what I see in more recent reviews, still has that quality. Not fancy, it is (or was then) an unpretentious family-run restaurant that didn't even have an English version of the menu. Perfect.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. Previous reviews are correct about decor - charming and a bit rustic. However, our experience was unpleasant because the owner continued to follow and criticize our sweet young waitress as she served us. At one point, he was arguing with her near our table, and we felt very uncomfortable about the situation.
