Taglialinni with cabonari sauce and shredded black truffle was maybe best pasta dish ever. Grilled steak was fantastic too.

Our first day in Italy this year and we headed to Volterra for the day. We went to Enoteca del Duca after reading reviews and were not disappointed. Excellent food, good wine list, friendly and accommodating staff and a lovely atmosphere - traditional, elegantly laid tables with white linen, but relaxed and not too stuffy. Would definitely go again.

We were referred to Del Duca by a woman who lives nearby, and recommended it for a relaxing dinner for two. The meal was wonderful and the service was highly attentive. Order the fondue appetizer and anything else having wild boar! One thing to note: the restaurant seems to open for dinner promptly at 7:30PM. We had a 7:30 reservation,... More

Without a reservation we were still able to have a table in the garden. Very good food en very special the way the owner prepares the meat in the wood-oven.

Having had a drive to see the views from Volterra and see the inspiration for the twilight films, we decided to seek a recommendation from lonely planet. This restaurant was highly recommended. My started was amazing which was the wild boar and cheese fondue. Amazing! Wasn't keen on my duck Ragu but it was a stab in the dark to... More

The lovely location in a walled courtyard made for a pleasant lunchtime experience. We tried the different terrines and patés for starters and various fresh pasta for the main meal; everything was delicious. There was also quite a large wine list and an excellent local artisanal beer on offer.

Wasn't expecting what we were in for. This place was a bit more expensive than most Tuscan restaurant's and the wine list was crazy $$$. The food and the atmosphere were very nice and we enjoyed our selves. If you are looking for a bit more up scale then this is your spot.

Our first visit to Volterra was further enhanced by dining here. Our table of 7 was located in their courtyard. White table cloths conveyed that this could be special. The grilled meat selections were done perfectly. A bit theatrical as many wanted photos with the grilled chef. Game was a feature of the menu with wild boar, pigeon, hare, etc.... More

Despite the poor service, the food is amazing! The interior courtyard is very beautiful, the place is clean and picturesque. I strongly recommend it!

A good place to have a well-priced lunch, ideally in the sheltered courtyard at the back of the restaurant. The salads are good if a little unadventurous, but the Tuscan 'soup' was absolutely fantastic. Well worth a visit
