Lovely dining room watched over by Oz. He is passionate about local produce and everything he cooked for us was lovely.

We had two meals here and enjoyed every mouthful! The lamb was so good my husband chose it again on the second night. The duck in quince sauce was also delicious. The menu has four choices for each course. The emphasis is on great ingredients, sourced locally and cooked very well. We also enjoyed the salad starters and a very... More

The Hotel is a bit tricky to find, but our host had sent a detailed list of instructions. This was very helpful. The hotel is situated in a very beautiful area. My husband & l were greeted warmly by our host. Our room was very comfortable with ensuite. We had dinner in the restaurant & enjoyed a wine on the... More

Had a family meal yesterday with my in-laws and wife. We were the first ones to sit in the terrace,as we were told, so I feel good about that. Next stop: ordered snails n then lamb chops. Wow. Tastes like heaven. Restaurant manager/owner is so friendly and informative too. In-laws pre-ordered a delicious meal which you can do before you... More

We ate at the restaurant whilst staying at the hotel. Excellent cooking using local produce and Oz the co-owner/chef was delightful in the way in which he came and spoke to each table, describing the way in which he had prepared their food. If you are not staying at the hotel well worth the rather tortuous route to find the... More

Oz puts together very fresh locally sourced meats and produce for a very nice country french meal. Very good value for the money, and you cannot beat the view. You can eat in a cafe if you want to people watch, but take in a meal at de Viels, especially if you are already staying at the hotel.

A warm welcome to an idyllic situation with attentive service and very comfortable accommodation. The food was very good and the wines were varied in range but quite a short list. A terrace with a wonderful view for dinner . Breakfast could be improved to have freshly squeezed juice and jam in bowls and better butter. This was our third... More

Fantastic home cooked local produce with fabulous views from the terrace across the Lot as the sunsets with the silhouette of Faycelles in the distance - a brilliant evenings meal!
