Had the menu, "In questa stagione." We all (two couples) thoroughly enjoyed each of the 8 courses - some more inventive than others, but all very high quality ingredients and preparation. Deserves its Michelin stars. The owner-host Angelo Palazzo (his wife is the chef) was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was less formal than a typical restaurant of this... More

We stayed at Al Sorriso on our way back to Switzerland and had dinner there. The restaurant had just re-opened after summer vacation, and it was a quiet evening. Angelo explained the two menus to us, and we went for the slightly seafood-oriented tasting menu. The gamberi and scallops were very good, but the porcini mushrooms and the fassone beef... More

Dinner for 3 cost $430...outrageous for ordinary meal where the $45 pasta was barilla with cheap olives basil garlic and shrimp... I would consider this the worst meal we have had in Piedmont despite costing 4x more than any other. This is not even considering the dog hair I found in the candied orange peels when I bit into it.... More

Being illiterate in Italian, I was confused by the menu. Angelo summarized his suggestion of 4 dishes and we went with it. Everything made me slow down to savor & appreciate what I was eating, but the porcini mushroom dish transported me to a magical place.

The very tastfully decorated charming place offers outstanding regional (Piemonte) delights. The owners are very present; she governs the kitchen and he entertaines the guests. Each plate is a masterpiece.

Matching expectations: Excellent food, excellent service. Al Soriso has been an institution in Italian cuisine for the past 30 years .. Not without reason. Amazing wine card and above all excellent advise. Quantities are a bit disappointing, especially considering the astronomic prices.

I cannot praise the Al Sorriso team highly enough for their outstanding restaurant. Everything you could want from a most special evening was delivered. The traditional & classic atmosphere of the restaurant, the friendly and welcoming team, the enormous wine list and of course Louisa's food were all first class. We went for the Menu Classico which started with froie... More

This traditional classic has added some modern touches to the food and the decor but retains its status as one of Italy's best restaurants. Highly rated in all the guides, it deserves the accolades. The chef Luisa cooks the delicious food arranged beautifully on the plates, and and her husband Angelo and their family provide the highest level of service... More

Asthonishing food, good service, family and cozy atmosphere in a nice local, high prices. Typical taste brought to top level, high quality ingredients and some perfect dish, we can say we enjoyed a lot our tasting experience at Al Sorriso

we went for lunch with three kids, originally we were a little worried about going with small kids, but the owner advised that it would be less crowded at lunch, so we went, they were really good with the kids. The wine was great and suprisingly not far from market price! The white truffle gnocchi was the best dish by... More
