We stayed in Sarlat for three weeks. La Cremerie was our shop for cheeses, butter, and eggs. It was wonderful to buy fresh food each day as our menu dictated. The staff was always helpful even with a bit of a language barrier and the cheese is wonderful!

We stopped by for lunch and tried the plat de jour which was toasted bread topped with vegetables and cheese and a plate of cheeses and charcuterie - both were served with a green side salad and roast potatoes. It was a lovely simple light lunch and a great opportunity to try a selection of cheeses and smallgoods.

The simple but well executed menu de jour was a delight. Three of us opted for the home made quiche and one for the baked camembert all coming with side salad, 'hassleback' type potato and charcuterie. This was followed by a nice fruit crumble washed down with a glass of house wine. At 12 euros each and the opportunity to... More

had lunch on the october 29th 2016 with friends and share the two plat du jour that was offered : Butternut and coat cheese roasted tartine Eggplant tarte topped with hazelnut crumble. It was wonderful and refreching to find that offers simplicity and originality compared the boring mainstream dishes of today's restaurant. Reservation advise, this little shop/restaurant is quite popular... More

I had lunch here today. My husband hadthe plat de jour was a tomato crumble with salad and charcuterie and I had a selection of local cheeses with charcuterie and salad, very simple but tasty. Today is market day, a nice place to people watch and a lovely ambience

One young woman seems to run this small establishment. She sells cheese which is no doubt great, but I really enjoyed an inexpensive lunch of a cheese and vegetable tart garnished with ham, salad, and delicious slices of roast potato. A glass of wine and clafoutis dessert completed the meal which was 12e. Quite the deal!

Fantastic. We visited La Cremerie on the 7th May, a Saturday, which is also Market Day. So firstly, I would really recommend eating there on Market Day as the seating spills out onto the street, and there is a bit of a buzz around the place. We sat ourselves down and were promptly waited on within a minute. The member... More

If you are in Sarlat do yourself a favour and visit this little cafe as you won't be disappointed. The baked Camembert is delightful and the staff are more than helpful.

Had a lovely lunch here today. Excellent service and large portions - we couldn't manage all the cheese they gave us! Seemed quite popular with the locals too, which sort of surprised me - as the cafe had a purely 'cheese' theme, I had (wrongly) assumed that it would mainly attract tourists - not so. They even gave us a... More
