Friendly staff. Lovely food. Get there early, the restaurant is understaffed during the busy season. But as we noticed during our stay. one day a restaurant is full next day it is fairly empty! Food lovely and accommodating staff

On entering the restaurant you feel like you've walked into a Brocante as there are all kinds of memorabilia hanging from the walls and ceiling and giant dolls in high chairs. You are greeted by the owners wife who is charming and although busy finds time to help with a menu that needs navigating carefully, it's hand written and some... More

If you don't like cheese and potatoes and lots of them and coming here is probably a mistake given that that is the local specialty and they are good at it. Pleasant staff, good wine and fun surroundings with a bill that doesn't hurt.

Our 9-year-old loved the raclette, the charcuterie was very good too. We are stuffed and happy after our lunch there (complimentary drinks helped!). Good value for money and warm welcome.

If you are in the area this is a real treat. A bonkers interior with traditional French music which the owners sing along to. The food, and wine, are very good for the price.

Good food, friendly staff and a 2 course lunch for €12. The quirky decor was a change from the usual! Don't be put off by the unpromising exterior.

If we hadn't read others' reviews the bizarre exterior would have put us off. We would have gone elsewhere and missed a treat. The interior is quirky to say the least, but the welcome is warm. We had 2 dishes we have never had before: smoked herrings with steamed potatoes in a mixed salad. Sounds weird but it works really... More

First of all, don't believe the hype -- this isn't the best place to eat in Le Mont-Dore, though many of the reviews would lead you to believe that. What I can say is that it's a perfectly serviceable pizza place with seriously kitschy decor and pleasant, friendly staff. Owned by a former professional wrestler and his wife, it's a... More

Good food priced sensibly with warm and attentive service. The decor was bonkers kitsch from the '70s; think what a room would look like if you blindfolded Jimmy Saville (RIP) and told him to decorate it. The owners are a former wrestler, now the chef and his wife who was formerly not his wife at some stage. Portions were generous... More
