Good simple food in a quiet little village. If you can find it don't miss it. Two of us stopped late afternoon for pranzo and were served a delicious meal and treated like family by Dominique the owner, host, cook. A wonderful contrast to crowded and busy San Gimi.

The Dai Galli has much to recommend it - location, charm, ambience and, above all, la cucina. We had dinner in the courtyard, under a vine-covered awning. The area is filled with overflowing flower pots, all carefully tended. The service was charming and efficient. All the dishes we ordered were well-presented and of a high standard. Ciciano is a little... More

We went for dinner and it took more than two hours to have a simple plate of badly cooked pasta and a beef steak with sauce! The menu is really short, nothing really appealing but prices were as restaurants in Firenze! Restaurant was full but only one chef and one waitress....so imagine the service level...and all tables had been booked... More

Dear Elbauldel, I'm the Cook and the Owner of the place you have been eating. I'm sorry you are so angry, I know your order waited a lot, your table probably arrived after 21.00, several reservations arrived 15/20 minutes later as reserved and you had to wait almost one hour to be served, it happens, it happens that people in... This is a family run restaurant. They pay close attention to detail and the menu changes daily. We have eaten there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and plan to go back at least once more before our vacation is over. The owner is friendly and helpful and she speaks English. The food is fantastic. I had mushroom... More

We found this place by accident. We were driving away from the rain and stumbled on this delightful bistro. The food was authentic Tuscan fayre. We were welcomed, served and cooked for by our host who chatted for a while about a number of things, her English was much better than our Italian. We will try to visit again if... More

I dined at Bistro Dai Galli twice on my holiday. I was so pleased with my meal the first night I went back the next. This restaurant is a real special find. The food is authentic, with layers of flavors. I was really pleased with the whole experience from sitting down to the wine and especially the food. The prices... More

We visited the bistro twice for an evening meal. On the first visit I had the drunken chicken which was delicious. The lady who waited on us was very welcoming. It was lovely to sit outside in the little garden surrounded by flowers. We revisited again with family and the food was nice, but not overwhelming. I found the portions... More

Since 2004 in Ciciano, this restaurant is situated between the villages of Chiusdino and Montieri, the "Val di Merse" (river Merse Valley) and the "Colline Metallifere" (Metalliferous Hills), on the antique Massetana, the road that joined Siena to Massa Marittima and the seaside... The cuisine of this countryside restaurant has the peculiarities of the old home cooking, aslike the Landlady use to surprise her commensals with small newness, remaining anyway bonded to the Tuscan, Lombard and Piedmont traditional cuisines, origins of the Galli Family, to always guaranty fresh products the Menu changes continuously. The location is welcoming and divides in two nice and warm rooms, in spring and summer the flowery terrace is the main attraction of the restaurant.
