Absolutely lovely restaurant, serving some fantastic food - and a really great Sunday Roast !! Remarkable in every respect (food, service, ambience and value for money) and definitely worth a visit.

Breda and team provided my guests and I with a fabulous buffet as part of my 60th birthday celebrations. Food was beautifully presented and delicious and absolutely met all expectations. Would recommend without hesitation.

We have been coming here for lunch on a Thursday for many years now, although recently we have been limited as the establishment has not always been open on that day of the week. We try to visit twice a year, as despite there being...many great restaurants in the Ribble Valley and surrounding area, this is our favourite. Today (08 December) we enjoyed one of the very best luncheons that we have been treated to by Breda. Our choices for starters were Ham Hock Croquette with parsley and wholegrain mustard, celeriac remoulade and watercress and apple salad. My friend had the treacle cured salmon, beetroot pickle with lemongrass and ginger puree. The dishes were very good (mine) and excellent (my friend). Main courses were Venison haunch steak, celeriac mash, baby onions, parsnip crisps and a redcurrant and port jus. With this I had a side of roast winter vegetables. My friend had Roast turkey breast, ballotine of leg, herb stuffing, cranberry tartlet, sage jus and traditional garnish. The venison was amazing while the turkey was rated as a very good choice. For dessert I had Chocolate cremeaux, brandy soaked prunes with cocoa nib tuille while my friend had stem ginger pudding, honeycombe butterscotch with vanilla ice cream. Both of these were utterly fabulous, and my friend thought his was one of the very best desserts he has ever had in a restaurant! If while reading this your mouth is watering - so it should - for we both gave our selections an excellent 29/30!! We will be talking about this exquisite meal for a long time to come (hopefully!) Service was really excellent as always here and we are already looking forward to our next visit in 2023, if there is a Thursday availability. Once again we have no hesitation in recommending Food By Breda Murphy. It is a real gem.....More

Excellent service and delicious food. Nice atmosphere and comfortable. Traditional Sunday lunch was good value for money with generous portions and a good choice of main courses.

Wow… after spending a lovely day at Bolton Abby we wanted to finish off the day with a lovely meal. And, We were not disappointed. We had never been before and on the debrief on the way home…. It was 10 out 10 . From...the beautiful tender Venison to the perfectly cooked steak. The only point that you scored bad (9:5) was there were too much chocolate brownie. However,we weren’t complaining for too long… From the attentive staff to the lovely atmosphere . It was a lovely night . Also , it was pleasure to see waiting staff using tea-towels to carry the hot plates . Fantastic in every way. Well done to allMore

Took the mother for a lunch, we weren't really hungry but my hubby and I keep driving past this place on the way to our lodge and I wanted to try it. Lovely, well decorated. Polite staff. Kept it simple and ordered fish pie. It...came with seasoned greens. Well that fish pie was hotter than the core of Vesuvius. Anyway I eventually tasted it and it was delicious. Perfect. Will be back with an empty belly to do the menu justice.More

We popped in for lunch and the food was delicious , the service was fabulous and the price just right. The ham hock croquette starter looked fab even to a veggie & the fish pie was to die for!!

The meal we had here tonight was truly stunning. The pork was beautifully cooked and couldn't have been more tender, and the seafood goujons were simply gorgeous. The staff were really attentive and the spacing between courses was just right. Thank you for a lovely...evening.More

Had friends staying from Norfork who are Vegan with no Oil. Spoke to Breda a couple of days before they arrived with regard to going for Sunday lunch. Only one criticism . The pork was not as tender as it should have been unfortunately and the paprika chips were too spindly thin which somewhat spoiled my main meal..

From start to finish our recent experience at Breda's restaurant was top notch. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the menu was full of dishes I wanted to try. I settled on the duck croquette for starters followed by sea bass for the mains...and creme brulee for dessert. How they make greens taste so good is beyond me. A fabulous meal - highly recommended.More
