Called in for brunch earlier today. The restaurant was busy but we managed to grab a nice table next to the entrance door. There were dirty coffee cups on the table which stayed there for the entire 35 minutes of our aborted visit. After about...More

You have no comprehension of how saddened I feel by your damning review. As you say.. a one time favourite - but not enough to have merited a positive review from you in that time. I am at a loss as to how our poor...More

Perfect location for a girly catch up over lunch. Eggs benedict always good. Love browsing the deli & gifts too. However think it was a mistake to replace tables at back with the pop-up shop as back room was nicest place to eat plus there...More

Thankyou for your review of the food, deli and gifts. Sadly you haven't been in for over a week as you would now find that the tables and chairs are back in the back room. Whilst I appreciate your personal feelings that it was a...More

The place was very busy and there was a waiting list for tables. We sat near the door on high stools which was very drafty and noisy. Eventually a waitress came over to clean the table and take our order. We had the lunch menu...More

We have usually enjoyed our visits to benedicts, but after this morning feel very disappointed and won't be rushing back. Had a long wait just to get our drinks (filter coffee so not complicated) and an even longer wait for our breakfast. The breakfast however...More

I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to respond to your review - but we have been waiting to interview all staff to establish who broke our "dog code" and made a fuss of a dog and allowed it to jump up. We...More

Thanks for your review - and your reassurance that you will come again. I agree with you that those eggs sound a total downside. We are having issues with our egg supply currently - and as we use over 100 dozen each week - you...More

We found Benedict’s by chance just off the Main Street. What a delightful Delicatessen and coffee shop and it is. We did not have time to stop for food or drinks, but there were 6 people waiting to be seated, obviously very popular! The quality...More

I am delighted you ventured off King Street and onto our sidestreet George Street. We are certainly an odd find in a picturesque village! Historically we were the village cinema on the first floor and a series of shops and a bank downstairs in the...More

Been trying for 3 weeks now to have brunch here but always no room. I think it was a mistake to take tables from the back part and create a shop. This reduces supply and aggravates many long standing customers. Been going here for years...More
