A real tourist trap! Expansive, very bad service and omelettes look much better than they taste! Avoid any omelettes even for dessert. Mont Saint Michel is fantastic to visit, just plan to have lunch somewhere else, like Avranches.

We have been to France 4 times and we have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. Prices were high, food was so so, but the wait staff were the worst I've ever seen - just generally annoyed that you even came to dinner - wish we had read the reviews on the real TripAdvisor - ruined our trip so... Food was expensive & food was so, so - no one speaks English or they pretend not too - worst meal we've ever had in France in 4 years- service was awful

Maybe due to great number of tourists and lack of competitors (not too many place to eat) the service is poor and food is expensive despite the mediocre quality (see the famous omelette).

Visited here each time I come to Mont St Michel, and it was great, professional staff, good food, and a fun atmosphere to eat in.

Not the biggest rooms in any hotel you'll stay in, but authentically charming old building and a classic landmark of Mt. St. Michel. The restaurant is famous (and a bit over priced perhaps) with its open view on cooks beating hundreds of eggs in their shining copper bowls. Spending a night here allows you to experience the best of the... More

We just happened to enter this place for lunch during our visit to le Mont St Michel. The first thing we obviously noticed were the numerous autographed portraits of the many distinguished guests who have dined at this place. their omlettes are light, fluffy and i just loved them.

Although it is a bit expensive, but it is worth it. their "omelette au feu de bois" is really exquisite!

The omelet house here is almost as famous as Mont St. Michel itself. La Mere Pollard has been stirring eggs into fluffy concoctions since 1888. The place is actually an inn, and rooms cost only slightly more than an order of eggs. The warm inside is festooned with photos of famous people who dined here, including Dwight Eisenhower, King Edward... More

Despite my booking a reservation months ahead due to a friend's recommendation, they could not find our booking & refused us. We persisted & the snippy waiter let us in, kept us waiting 40 minutes before taking our order, & was very rude the rest of the time. Apparently they were short-staffed & full. We ordered their famous omelettes which... More
