Place Montfort is the main square in Vaison-la Romaine and the Festival Cafe is one of a series of restaurants lining one side of the square. We chose it for lunch after having scanned all the menus displayed outside the various premises. It proved a good choice and we enjoyed an imaginative meal from the menu du jour formule for... More

it is november and we stop for lunch in beautiful Vaison la Romaine. on a pitoresque square, where the sycamores are losing their last leaves we settle down at the festival cafe. we order a 'pichet' Rosé and a Perigord salad. The salad is one of the best I have had in de last years. Far away of course from... More

This is a good budget restaurant right in the heart of Vaison in Place Montfort. The food is decent and the price will suit all budgets. They have something for everyone, including comfort food for weary travellers sick of French food! It's very busy but the staff stay cool and friendly.

With a Cairanne red wine and a steak. You'll find a good place to rest after a nice visit of the town.

Not much open for dinner on Monday and we just took a chance. Delightful and helpful young waitress. Two of us had the table setting, one a la carte. The fish soup delicious as were the deserts. Mains good although the fish course unexpectedly had bones. Not many people around at this time of year and service better than others... More

On a Monday in late September, we walked for an hour in the pedestrian/retail section pretty much alone at 7 pm. Nothing was open and it was getting dark. Hungry and tired we stopped a British couple who recommended the Festival. Happily we got in as it was crowded with patrons. My husband ordered a burger and milk shake and... More

The location is very good, and it was pleasant watching the world go by in the square. The food - lamb chops - was passable, but they weren't offering pizza, despite it being on the menu. Friendly service.

i've been there several times. this is a good intermediate restaurant, offering more or less the same things than the other ones on the same side of the Montfort place. prices are not too high, food is not incredible but of good quality, ideal for a lunch/dinner with friends in summer, on the terrace

Found a place to park then decided to choose this brasserie amongst the others located around the square. Friendly atmosphere and good food, a daily menu for less than 20€ per person. Owner and waitress very nice, spent good time there.
