Lovely restaurant, and food very nice. Very French and that includes the menu. I have no problem with that but felt that they gave no allowance for less than perfect French and were rather abrupt. Although I had a ordered off the four course set menu, when it came to the dessert as my sister did not order one I... More

Good value excellent food, we always eat here when we visit chapelle. The charcuterie board is huge with lovely home cured meats and local cheeses and the three course set menu is excellent value, with enough food left to take home!

This restaurant is quite interesting, they sell traditional french cuisine, the food is lovely and in a big portion, there are nothing fancy in this restaurant but you can consider as a family place. The negative side is the restaurant is quite busy and far from anywhere, you won't get a quiet table, the boss also quite bossy, she just... More

First let me say that the food was good, no questions about it. Local french cuisine, really tasty. The environment is interesting as well. The terrible and I really mean it is the staff. Our group of friends spoke 6 different languages fluently (among them German, English, Russian, Dutch). Staff did not speak any nor did they try. A menu... More

Called in ad hoc for an evening meal with a beer or two and glass of wine! Great service and lovely food. A pianist entertained us, which was lovely, although it all turned into karaoke a tad later - which isn't my first choice of entertainment..... it's not even my 101st choice! Overall though, it was a cozy, cheerful experience!

My Brother wanted to treat us to dinner at one of his favourite restaurants and it did not dissapoint. Around the table was an absolutely stunning selection of cured meats cheeses, lamb and beef dishes, trout with almonds, simple but delicious food for the children. Each dish was presented beautifully and even as a vegetarian in France I left feeling... More

It's easy to see why this restaurant has such a good reputation as the food is undeniably good. The quirky taxidermy display downstairs with the waxworks and curiosities museum is an interesting if slightly jarring / disturbing diversion and it gas good ambience - but we didn't find it to be any better than some of the other establishments in... We have been there many times before and wish to visit over and over again! No wonder why the Trincaz family is there since 1894. Fois Gras is our top choice. No one should miss this and it is worthy of doing the work for reservation before visit.

Absolutely incredible. Good service but without pretensions. The food was all of top quality, and we were 9 people ordering all starters and mains. Everything is made by the restaurant, even the amazing desserts and sorbets (recommended after the generous plates. I dare say too big sometimes). The atmosphere is varied, relaxed and very authentic. Priceless the museum underneath. Best... More
