Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have visited this bar before with our dog but now no dogs are allowed, even outside. Most French restaurants are very easy about dogs but I do understand if they don’t want them inside but I have never come across a restaurant or bar...that will not allow them outside. There is a lot of room outside at this place so they could even have s designated area if they so wished. What a shame they have made this strange decision.More

We have not visited Le Fer Rouge for a couple of years. We will not be returning after this visit. Staff informed us No Dogs here and told us to remove the dog. This was a 6pm on a sunny afternoon, we stopped for a...quick drink after finishing a walk. The staff were very rude and made us feel very un welcome. We were going to stay for food but can’t leave fast enough. It’s just a shame we had already bought our pints or we would have left immediately. Our Son offered to walk our dog home. A rubbish end to the day.More

The beer is awful and happy hour is poorly advertised. We were rudely told off for bringing our dog, when this wasn’t advertised on the website. The bar staff stare at customers as if your a hassle and an inconvenience. We walked away from buying...food from the poor service!!! Beer was overpriced as well!!!More

Always a favourite when in the area. Went here, as we always do , for my husband's birthday. Melanie is a very good host and the tartiflette 'avec charcuterie 'is the best in the valley. Bar is equally good with occasional entertainment and happy hour....Could recommend it enough.More

Great micro-brasserie with a good choice of ales. Good food either downstairs in the bar or upstairs in the bistro. Reasonably easy parking outside, we usually visit for the happy hour - 2 for 1 prices even better value. It's a shame that the owner...doesn't sell his beer to other bars in the valley.More

18 of us went for an evening meal. The menu was varied and catered for meat/ non-meat, veggie and gluten free. The menu had a whole list of allergens which was very helpful. The artisan beers were good too. Recommended.

Been coming here for summer hols and after skiing for many years. The 2-4-1 on their beers from their microbrewery are good and value for money. The chips with the burgers are especially delicious. Lovely to sit outside in the summer. Lots of Brits come...here, always a good atmosphere.More

We stopped here for diner. 2 adults and 3 children. The food was outstanding. Lots of selection and freshly cooked. The portions were huge. And their speciality beers are a must to try. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this...place.More

Have normally drunk beer here at the micro brewery but this time celebrated a birthday by having a meal upstairs in the restaurant. Great decor and atmosphere and service was very good. Food was excellent, tartiflette, chicken curry and steak was all excellent. Deserts were...great too. Beer from the micro brewery up to its normal excellent standard as ever. Will definitely return again.More

Stopped here with the kids for a late lunch option. Has a kind of an Eastern feel inside with some, low comfy chairs and tables to eat from. A good range of beers and a nice selection to choose from on the menu. We all...had various burgers which were all really good and the choice of fruit juices made a nice change to other restaurants in the area. My only issue was that it was a little dark inside - in no way was it dingy, not at all - just a bit too dark for me. If you go you'll enjoy it - a really chilled place for some après-ski.More

We know the place well - largely as a post-piste pub that brews its own beer. It is always good fun. This time we booked a rather exquisite meal. There were eight of us and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
