We visited Restaurant des Granges for a friends birthday. The whole experience was fantastic - the beautifully presented food was a taste sensation and the service was exceptional. I would definately recommend this restaurant.
We had heard many good reviews on Restaurant des Granges, and as the tasing menu sounded too good to miss, we booked for dinner to treat ourselves. Wow. It was truly amazing and definitely the best meal we have had in the area. All the...food was beautifully presented with exceptional flavours - obviously a lot of time, effort and thought has gone into every piece of food on each dish. All the ingredients are either locally sourced or home grown, with everything home made, including the three types of bread and different butters! Hilly and Duncan are very welcoming and the service was fantastic. It was Michelin star quality but with the personal touch. Highly recommended if you are looking for something different outside the traditional Savoie specialities. (we even went back a month later with a group of friends).More
Some of the best food we have ever tasted in the alps, or anywhere else for that matter!
Even more amazing our chalet is only a few steps away. We first visited Hilary and Duncan for dinner just over a week ago and we were...so impressed we returned last night! The highest of recommendations from us.More
After living in the area for over a decade, I can hands down say that this was the best meal we have had in the Portes du Soleil in many years if not ever. The degustation was a perfect example of fine dining in a...relaxed atmosphere, complimented with personable service and at a very reasonable price compared to the resort prices you find at other establishments serving basic food in comparison.
Its a must do dining experience for locals and tourists visiting the area.More
We are Brits that live in Geneva and have had a chalet in Les Gets for nearly 20 years. This resto was a new find for us and we booked with group of 10 friends so had the full private dinning experience. The sampling menu...with wines paired by Chef Duncan was simply divine - even some of the local Savoyard wines chosen worked well with the food ! This is a classic fine dinning experience in a location and room with stunning views, summer terrace for canapes and Chablis and an open kitchen for that Chefs Table experience. Could not fault the welcome and the service from Duncan and team. For a full dining experience with copious wines and a lift home in the mini bus afterwards @€115 per head is super value.
For larger groups that want this experience - then seriously unique. We will be back -and suspect it will be on our list for those special occasions.More
We holiday every year with a group of friends to somewhere in Europe and the food prepared by Duncan and Vic was voted by far to be the best ever. And great value for price too. And in a beautiful genuine article alpine chalet too....And the chefs even made sure we got home after what must have been a really really long day. And all excellently organised through Hillary.
We will all for sure be backMore
Beautiful food served in a beautiful way. Cannot recommend this place enough- Hilary is an amazing host and Duncan is such an amazing chef. The details, the flavors, the thought and presentation all served on the chef’s handmade plates and bowls.
Such a treat.
My partner and I booked a table wanting to treat ourselves and celebrate restaurants reopening and were absolutely floored by our experience at Restaurant des Granges.
Upon arriving, Hillary welcomed us and helped us choose both a glass of beautifully light fizzy white (made in...Savoie) for an apéritif on the terrace and a bottle of red which suited our tastes perfectly.
Duncan and Vic's 7 course tasting menu was absolutely masterful. All of the individual ingredients were top notch and incredibly flavourful, and every dish was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed mindfully breaking down the flavour combinations and making guesses as to how certain things were made.
We were incredibly impressed by the fact that the bespoke plates, cups and serving platters were all handmade by Duncan on location and even bought two beautiful cups for our morning coffee.
We were absolutely delighted to find out that the menu changes every month and are looking forward to our next treat!
Thank you Hillary, Duncan and Vic! Excellent, excellent work. See you soon!More
The 7 course tasting menu is phenomenal. The quality of the produce shines through and the level of skill involved in producing such a menu is outstanding. The presentation, smells and tastes were divine. I can't recommend it enough - with an overnight stay it...was a perfect break for valentine's day and the level of attention to detail and service was on a par with the cuisine. Thank you Duncan and Hillary for a truly memorable experience.More
