My son suggested we meet up for Sunday lunch and recommended The Lamb. On arrival the environment is relaxed yet you know there's some serious cooking going on. I spoke with the owner about the range local ales, ciders and spirits and then ordered lunch....The food when it arrived was excellent. Perfectly cooked with wonderful sides of vegetables and cauliflower cheese. The little pan of gravy was a quirky touch. Then came dessert.... OMG.. Amazing. The coffee chocolate mousse was sublime. Service was great, prices very reasonable and will definitely returnMore

We loved this little gem of a pub. The food was brilliant from start to finish. Exeter doesn't have anything like this. So if you're looking for something new to try then look no further.

This was our first visit to this very nice pub and I would have rated this excellent except for 2 things... We looked at the website menu for Sunday roast which says the beef sirloin costs £13 when in fact it is £16. If prices...change I think it is important that the website is kept up to date. Whilst the vegetables were lovely, tasty and hot unfortunately the beef was only warm and so went cold quickly. I understand that for the sirloin to be served pink it does not want to be kept in a warmer too long... perhaps the serving plates could be warmer when the meat is served onto the plate. That aside it was cooked beautifully and was very tasty. It is also a nice touch to be served with a little pan of gravy with the vegetables. The young man who served us did a good job.More

I had the most perfectly constructed and lovingly cooked meal. Starter of forest mushrooms was the most intense rich flavour balanced by tiny dots of crispy grilled cheese. Main course of cod and scallop with Jerusalem artichokes and braised leek was a total delight of...tastes and textures. Every detail was carefully considered down to the crispy roast rosemary on the top. A pure treat and delight. Go and treat yourself to this experience.More

Wow, what an incredibly delicious meal we had at the Lamb. This is our second visit and the food is outstanding - I asked the waiter when it would get it’s first Michelin star! Reasonably priced and great friendly service, you will not be disappointed

We had a really great group meal at the Lamb. The food was outstanding. Our favourites were the pheasant starter, the venison scotch egg and the curried fish main. So nice to have such a creative and different menu. Only dish with room for improvement...was the lamb (didn't feel the quality if the cut was there - a little fatty). The rest of dish was excellent though - particularly the mini shepherd's pie! Service was great- drinks and food arrived promptly. They took the time to explain the desserts and were happy to answer any questions. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Lamb and am already planning a return visit!More

Where to begin, this place is a real hidden gem - A restaurant behind a Pub sign. An amazing dining experience from start to finish. Behind the bar was messy but the wines and cocktails were top notch. The food was perfectly cooked, well balanced...and full of flavour. Not too busy but I have no idea how?! This placed should be filled to the rafter. We will be back if holidaying in the area, as good as we’ve had in London.More
