One of the places we eat at as a group on a golfing trip. Food was fantastic as was the service. This probably accounted for it being so busy on a Sunday night!

Just returned to our holiday home, after having our Carvery at the Farmers Arms. It was amazing, lovely choice of meats, veg, great potatoes and superb gravy. The staff even though they were short staffed, and fully booked for the evening, worked tirelessly to make...sure everyone was served with drinks before your meal. We ate here in the week, and the other food on the menu is superb. Would recommend this pub to anyone staying near for a holiday or break. Well Done & Thanks.More

Really tasty food and great portion sizes. I had the hunters chicken and it was delicious and a great size. Service was good and waitresses were very friendly.

Thank you SO much Dan, Kirsten and the team at the Farmers for our amazing carvery meals! My friends could not believe the quality of the meat and the choice of vegetables! You cannot beat a Farmer's carvery!!! We piled our plates high, smothered them...in their delicious gravy and demolished the lot! Thank you too to the guy who sliced me some well done beef (as well as the pork and gammon!!).The pub was as busy as I have ever known but the service was still efficient, attentive and super friendly! We'll see you again next Sunday!!!More

Once again Dan and his staff delivered an amazing service. The food was superb, the atmosphere with a live singer, brilliant and the staff attentive and friendly. Thanks again Dan for accommodating us, you'll be sorely missed x

After having an amazing experience last year we arrived with high hopes of excellent food and service. To be fair the food was still very good when it finally arrived but the experience was really spoilt by the very poor service. We were seated and...ordered drinks which did arrive in good time. However when we ordered food after an hour of waiting we were asked if we had ordered. Ar this point we realised something was wrong. We were informed ten minutes later that our order had 'somehow not got through to the kitchen' and our order was retaken. It then was served within ten minutes. The food was very good. We then ordered deserts but again when these were served one had been missed off the order which then had to be hastily rectified. When we had finished our desserts we asked for the bill. After half an hour of not receiving it we had to resort to going up and asking for it. Again they were unaware we had requested the bill. The service was appalling. If they had been rushed off their feet it may have been more understandable but while waiting for the bill the front of house staff were quite often just standing around having a chat and a giggle. If it wasn't for the good food it would have been 1 star. When you are paying well over £20 a head for two courses and one round of drinks you would expect better service. A real shame a long anticipated evening was spoilt by multiple error, disorganization and long waits. 😥More

We have just eaten here for the second time and it was fantastic. The welcome was warm and the food was exceptional. I would highly recommend this place if you are staying in or near Newquay. Give it a try. Jenny and Brett Pruce -...LeicesterMore

Booked ahead which was needed as fully booked. Went on the Sunday for carvery which was really tasty then had puddings - lovely. Covid friendly telling you when you can go up for carvery. Nice singer in garden. Went back evening in week and had...normal menu, good choice, all tasted home made. Staff very friendly. A tad expensive but then it’s where it is. Would visit againMore
