Very warm atmosphere, the menu is overwhelming…just too many dishes to choose from. Therefore I followed my instinct and got rewarded.

I ordered lamb shoulder which should come off the bone if cooked properly. It was as tough as old boots. They obviously don't know how to cook lamb. It had been cooked quickly at high temperature instead of slowly at low temperature. No refund was...offered and the manager stated that their lamb was always like that... what a shame for what should be the best part of the lamb (if cooked properly). The rest of my party had a reasonable meal, just don't order the lamb shoulder. I would never go there again.More
Sat down to a lovely meal during our visit, which started with a shot of ouzo! The portions were massive, great value and very tasty. Nice atmosphere but the staff was friendly, despite our language barrier.
This was outstanding. Real Greek food fresh from the kitchen. Delicious, tasty and surely a lot. The size of the plate was impressive, and so was the taste.
Food is great but the service is terrible. The portions are huge. Music is always Greek. Atmosphere is good but the tables are too close to each other.
The aura of German efficiency having evaporated with the failure of our taxi to arrive, we drove ourselves to this Greek restaurant and eventually found somewhere to park. Lively and buzzing with friendly, efficient staff we were given a complimentary glass of ouzo which we...enjoyed while doing battle with a Greek menu in German. We started with a generous portion of dolmades. Madame then opted for Moussaka which arrived as a huge portion, while I went for deliciously tasty strips of lamb fillet, cooked quite rare and served with a vast pile of sauté potatoes. No chance of going hungry here. A bowl of salad accompanied both of our main courses. I managed to find a corner for a dessert of baklava and coffees were offered with more glasses of ouzo. Beer seemed to be the most suitable drink but there were wines, including Greek, listed. Having enjoyed our meals we elected to pay a return visit the next evening, but to choose a selection of starters to share, tapas style, which we felt would be lighter. This proved to be a winning formula and we enjoyed plates of grilled sardines, grilled aubergines, grilled sweet peppers, calamari and garlic bread. We also shared a dessert of creamy Greek yoghurt, honey and walnuts. Once again the meal was ‘topped and tailed’ with complimentary ouzos. Including beers this came to a very reasonable 55 euros including tip.More
We were welcomed with an Ozzo and then enjoyed an excellent meal. Very tasty dishes and had a nice retisina to wash all down. Ended with another free Ozzo and we all left happy!
The best Griechisch restaurant in Kleve. The meals are so huge and the flavor of food is like Greece
Been a guest for many years but tonight was a total disaster. They served me raw/cold meat twice. Only the 3rd time they got it right. In the end i was eating alone because the other guests already finished their meals. No sorry, no nothing....All the they could do was to argue with me that it was as it supposed to be. Really? How come the other guests at my table had their meat fully cooked? You don't eat raw pork meat. This was our last visit to Akropolis.More
Ouzo start 20 ml garlic bread best in Germany I've had! Gyros with moussaka and calamari very generous tasty good value. hold the chips We would have had dessert if were not stuffed with chips We had Helen of Kleve as waitress who had great...sense of humour and added to the Greek ambience 🤔More
We ate at the Akropolis while passing through Kleve. We like Greek food and have eaten it during many stays in Greece and Cyprus. The nicest thing we found with the food at the Akropolis is that it is truly authentic. The second best thing...was the outstanding service. The staff are kind, helpful and attentive, and exceedingly hospitable. I would recommend the Akropolis to anyone staying in or passing through Kleve.More
Though not very special in terms of dishes, the food tastes very good, You get a large plate, and an extra bowl of salad. Before you order your first drink, you get a free shot of Ouzo (alcohol-free for minors of course). The service is...quick, the setting is nice, and eating out at Akropolis is very affordable.More
Typical greek food in huge amounts. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. The restaurant is located a couple of minutes by foot from the city center.
Quite an OK looking restaurant. Service is good and no qualms with that. Greek food is decent but sadly not quite great. Been to a lot of Greek restaurants in the area and this one is average. I would avoid the steaks, not great. As...said, it's not bad but it's not great either.More
I go here all the time with my family, their greek food is fantastic, the staff is very friendly, top notch service and food!
