There are quite a number of similar looking restaurants in the main road of this village. We’d made the booking before arriving and so wandered up somewhat open minded. The greeting and service was friendly and informal. We had the “cook yourself” BBQ, a raclette...and a rosti. They were all very good and, by Swiss standard, reasonably pricedMore

Not very welcoming. The waitress that attended us was quite unfriendly. Good location but you feel that they have had enough of tourists visiting

It was a family lunch with visitors from abroad, we sat next to the window on the panoramic terrasse and everyone loved that. The fondue was good (but have had better in the region around) and the deserts excellent. So this is a good restaurant...for a touristic place, I recommend it.More

Went for lunch with friends. The food was okay but in the end when I asked for a macchiato they gave me a latte when I said this is not what I ordered the waitress went off and was so rude, screaming at us saying...this is what we ordered and they will charge us for this and she walked off came back and we asked her please to change it and she started to shout again and complained about us to other guests. One of our friends spoke french she was the one who ordered for us so it is not like there was a language barrier. I have never witnessed service like this it was the worse restaurant experience I've ever had!!! Absolutely appalling!!!More

Visiting cheeseland we decided to have lunch. Cheese was obviously on the menu as were lost of other things. We had a range of plates and all enjoyed our meals. The weather was fine and we ate outside. Plenty of seats inside too. Great location...on main street with hills attractively peeping over the houses in the background. Decor benignly Swiss and very pleasant. Service good, food excellent and very nicely presented and ambience very agreeable. Loos very good. One of the less highly priced gastronomic experiences of Switzerland. Would recommend. Parking available but could be difficult in high tourist season. English spoken.More

This is a lovely little restaurant where you can enjoy local cuisine with a nice view. The staff are friendly and the menu has a good choice, served promptly.

All wonderful. Starting from the picturesque village of Gruyeres, which is cute and extremely quiet at night. We spent 2 days at this place and had a typical Swiss gastronomic experience in this lovely restaurant. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming, the service very cordial, plus...a kind of terrace enclosed with glass, giving a spectacular view of the valley below the village. There we ordered two very typical dishes from the region. The Fondue and Raclette. All accompanied by a wonderful wine indicated by our waitress. The final set of the work resulted in one of the best gastronomic experiences of all the trips I have ever done. Unforgettable . And all this with my wife, mother and my 2 daughters.More

Very nice meal, excellent service in a beautiful setting. We had fondue with wine which was exactly what we were looking for on a cool, rainy day.

We stopped by after our lunch for desert and one will not regret. Apple tart is one of the best and we combined it with coffee.
