To get there you need to walk along the bridge that leaves after the bus station to go to the ski hills and at the end of the bridge you turn left and walk along the path for about 10 minutes downhill. You can come back the same way to Saas-Fee or alternatively continue walking about 30 minutes down to... More

We have been to this a number of times over the years. A short walk from Saas Fee along a snowy path through the woods leads to a lovely atmospheric restaurant. The food is excellent with a numerous fabulous venison, lamb and pork dishes. The house red is a tasty local Valais pinot noir which (by Swiss standards) is excellent... More

The food here was excellent. The menu specialises in game, which was mostly venison cooked various ways. The restaurant itself has a wonderful ambience and the walk along the edge of the forest on a snow-covered path with frozen waterfalls along the way was just magical.

One of my top favourite restaurants in Switzerland. The location is very special, the isolation in the forest and magnificent views over the valley are hard to match. The food is excellent and they have a comprehensive wine menu.

Our party of 3 were a bit hesitant to walk the 10 minutes from town to Waldhues Bodmen but the view, the service and the food was absolutely worth the effort. The lamb was outstanding and the 'platte' (a selection of different meats) were excellently prepared. The Rioja Reserve wine a fantastic compliment. Our waitress was well trained, knew her... More

We had just finished an eight hour hike from Gspon and had to convince our tired legs and teenage daughters to walk the 20 minutes to this place. To say that it was well worth it would be a gross understatement. The ambiance, food, portion size, and service were all amazing. My wife had the Rosti, the girls had fondue,... More

Traditional food offer but very tasty. Served in huge portions , I personally could never finish. this is the warmest place in town. Traditional chalet construction , surrounded by beautiful nature & lots of farm animals.

What an occasion. Book your table in advance and ask for the table next to the rabbits. I did not exactly know what to expect but we got to the place after a 15 - 20 min walk from Saas Fee, with the snow falling around us. Luckily the pathway is lit all the way from Saas Fee so we... More
