Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A rare rare find! We are staying at the local hotel which has amazing views over Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) and a goodish breakfast. Evening meal there yesterday was ok but nothing to write home about. Today we went 5 minutes up the road into...downtown Chexbres and discovered this gem. The food was simply outstanding! My foie gras starter (sorry!) was right up there with the best available anywhere, as was my wife’s goat cheese salad. My main course was just jaw-droppingly good. Cheval entrecôte on a heated griddle pan with cafe de Paris. Over and above this, the service was extremely friendly and attentive. We just loved the place and have already reserved for tomorrow. A must visit!More

Their lunch menu is with excellent quality and price. Really worth to try. The restaurant is situated next to the main road of the center of Chexbres.

This restaurant was an exceptional experience on our trip through Switzerland. Patricia and Sabah were fabulous hosts. Sabah made a wonderful recommendation for our meal (see photo) and Patricia highly recommended the freshly made creme brûlée for dessert. It was an experience we won’t soon...forget. Thank you to the ladies and the kitchen staff as well:)More

A slightly cavernous space, but great staff and a fascinating menu. Fondue Australian? Allegedly includes several meats including kangaroo. The salad dressing contained curry flavour (and it worked). The kidneys were superb.

We ordered two meals and both were excellent including what I thought would be a basic pasta dish. The only regret we have is that we didn't realize they had outdoor seating... it's a very small area so we missed it but would've been perfect...on such a gorgeous day we lucked out with. Highly recommended!More

Great service, the risotto served in Parmesan cheese was to die for and prices were more than ok! Also, one of the rare restaurants in the region where I was offered to take away leftovers of my dish. Can only highly recommend !

Visited as a large group in September 2018. Good choice of food/wine. Service was efficient for a large group and in comparison to other restaurants the prices were reasonable. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely return.

What an incredibly special place. Not only was the service fantastic and friendly but the food was insane. We had the mushroom risotto and truffle tagliatelle on the recommendation of the waitress and she was not wrong- one of the best meals I have had...since moving to Switzerland. They were so accommodating to our newborn baby and our little dog. Can’t wait to go back again. I would highly recommend it.More

We stayed in Chebrex three nights, and ate here three nights in a row! The food is excellent, prices moderate, and service friendly. Gluten-free options are available. Portions are generous. Salads were excellent, as was the wienerschnitzel. Pizza is outstanding. Do not miss the local...wine--very good and inexpensively priced. Fresh fish from the lake is very good.More

Chexbres is a little village - not much there - but this restaurant is a find! It is very simple, very local, and very friendly. We had no menu, but were questioned, "Fish or pasta?" Husband chose fish, I, pasta. It came with soup, salad,...main dish and dessert. It was an adventure as we didn't even know the prices. We asked for a local red, and a local white wine - vineyard surround the area - how could we miss? They were both very good, and I think, about $4 a glass! Workmen in heavy boots were customers, and a well-dressed couple of guys, and the place was full. We really enjoyed the friendly and helpful waiter. When we tipped extra, he put it in the communal tip jar. It was humble fare, delicious and fresh, and I highly recommend this quaint little place.More
