Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very good friendly and efficient service. The food was good and price in a normal range. Nice terrace. Definitely will recommend it.

We ordered twice here for takeaway (because of Covid, no dining in possible). Both pizza and pasta dishes were of great quality, e.g. freshly squeezed lemon and generous amounts of fish/meat toppings. Would definitely come here again.

We are here for lunch now after a hike in the extremely picturesque Lavaux terraces and it's a haven for vegetarians! A rarity, I got my super spicy Penne Arabiatta and the children enjoyed their Margherita pizzas. Hubby has a veggie pasta which he enjoyed....Cool beers on a hot day (27 deg) made it a perfect place to relax!More

Spending 5 weeks driving through France with a 1 night stop in Switzerland. We knew we would be here on Wit Monday and emailed to see if the restaurant was open as probably the only restaurant in town near the hotel we were staying at....They replied to say they were open and booked a table for us for 8pm (at time of writing they were open until 10.30). We walked 15 mins from our hotel in the pouring rain and it was worth getting very soggy for. We were greeted by the friendly young staff who spoke perfect English, the service was extremely friendly and professional, the restaurant was almost full, so would recommend booking. We had been dreaming of pizza and pasta after 3 weeks of quite fancy, rich french food. We started with a simple shared margarita pizza, hubby then had the pasta with vodka and I had the siciliana with aubergine and olives, absolutely delicious and very well presented. All washed down with local white and red wines which were very nice, who knew Switzerland made wine! We were well stuffed so finished off with a scoop of ice cream which was very tasty. The owner was kind enough to send us a glass of lemoncello which was a perfect finish. Highly recommend this restaurant and would love to come back again, would definitely make a detour to do so.More

Went to Restaurant du Nord with the family (including 2 children). Very friendly staff and really good food. Highly recommended. Missed out on 5 stars only because dessert took a long time to arrive and children were getting impatient! Highly recommended and we will be...coming back again.More

Du Nord was a pleasant village eatery, with little particular ambiance. We had the filets-de-perche; OK, but not spectacular. No prior salad was included... Service was Italian, and prompt.

3 brothers from Italy, 2 of them previously employees, took over a little while ago. Service really welcoming and caring. Food needs improvement, for what we had at least. We haven't tried the pasta or.pizza so won't comment. We did have the sea bass in...a lemon sauce, fresh vegetables, with "pommes allumettes" (chips, but very thin), as well as the veal cutlets alla milanese with pasta. Fish was well cooked, sauce was bland and unzesty. Potatoes were overcooked. Vegetables were undercooked. Should be "all dente", but not that firm. Veal cutlets were perfect: tasty, well seasoned, piping hot, sauce was pleasant. Pasta (fresh, I believe) was slightly overcooked and sticky. Last but not least, plates should be warmed before serving, it completely changes the quality of the meal. Especially if serving items such as chips which get cold in 5 minutes tops. Then had the meringue and cream, as well as creme brulee as desserts. Good meringue, not enough cream, creme brulee good but far too sweet. And expensive. Complimentary cheap limoncello, basically yellow alcohol with a ton of sugar. Overall, average. Could be more creative, need to perfectly master their dishes, as the restaurant is expensive in regards of the quality of the food. We did wait for at least 45 minutes. On a Sunday, I don't mind (restaurant was full), but as a business owner, you need to be aware of everything and warn your customers about the waiting time ahead of them. After having politely, in a positive critical manner, explained the above points to one of the three owners, I was thanked. I would've preferred a commercial token of appreciation, but no. Don't think I'll be back, there are more creative, affordable addresses worth exploring out there. To the owners: be sharper, aware of what is going on, reduce your menu, master your dishes and service, lower your prices or improve (drastically) your product.More

As the only restaurant open on a Sunday (apart from our hotel) we were very pleased in choosing to reserve and eat here. The staff were really friendly, helpful and genuinely welcoming to my wife and I. There were plenty of local people eating there,...including 2 couples together for one of their party's birthday.More
