This pub offered very reasonably priced meals and great service. We were there on a “two for one” steak meal night at a total cost of between 11-15 pounds (depending on the type of steak) for the two meals. Great value and the steaks were served with chips, mushrooms, peas, tomato and onion rings. We were served by the bar... More

We visited the pub for a drink at lunch after a walk locally. We used to use this pub thirty odd years ago and it doesn't seem to have changed much in that time. The music was great as still playing the old songs but the pub itself did look very tired and worn, toilets clean but very old fashioned and... More

This place was very stuffy it needed ventilation. It seems to be more of a restaurant than a pub. Small bar area within a large pub. Service at the bar was good. The table we sat at was sticky sadly. There is a good size outdoor area to the side and ample parking space

Sunday lunch with friends looked good at a distance but proved to be very poor. when we arrived there was no welcome and we had to do it ourselves ,find a table and ask for drinks. It must of taken 10 minutes to get a drink and it would appear the waiting staff were confused did not know the wines... More

I didn't even make it past booking stage but that being said, the customer service I have received here has been appalling. I booked my sons christening a month ago and get a phone call to say it has been cancelled a month before the big day as someone has booked a second booking after mine and they have paid... More

Second visit to this lovely pub for Sunday lunch, excellent service, food and venue; well worth the drive to get there, also close to Dover if you want to visit the castle or town

If you don't mind pushing your way through many old, bald white guys, there is a decent number of beers and ales on tap.

We popped into the Railway Bell, as had a hotel booked a few miles away and wanted to stop for lunch, en route. The menu was vast and really, really reasonable. We ordered a couple of home baked baguettes, with chips and they were great. Filling, tasty and quick. If you are looking for somewhere to grab a decent, hearty... More

This pub is lovely, friendly polite staff and the food is very reasonably priced and very tasty. This is a brilliant pub if you have kids in the summer they always have a bouncy castle up and always welcome the children. Would highly recommend visiting the rail way bell.

Not the friendliest of receptions from a lady behind the bar, but there we go, we all have off days. So we ordered garlic bread (was like garlic crisp bread), potato skins with chilli (tasteless) macaroni cheese with more garlic bread (mac cheese tasteless and very oily, garlic bread this time spot on, hunters chicken (dry chips, peas good, chicken...
