The place is, as you can see in the pictures, a perfectly lovely rustic home. We had the three-course "Pazo Cibran" menu (we stayed at the Pazo up the road). Seriously? 15 euros for a magnificent three course dinner of grilled vegetables with giant prawns, entrecôte steak with potatoes, and a nice dessert? Pinch me; this can't be real. It... More

Beautiful old house - lovely warm feel. Roberto was a terrific host - ensuring we had everything we need. Food was terrific and simple- great raw materials. The zamburinas grarinadas were especially memorable but the best was a simple tomato salad that reminds you of how amazing real tomatoes can be!!! Yummy.

Restaurant Roberto was one of the undoubted highlights of our holiday. Tucked away in the tiny village of San Xuilan de Sales and only a few hundred metres from the Pazo in which we were staying, we went there initially because there was nowhere else to eat in the village... but what a fantastic find! The restaurant itself is wonderful,... More

We arrive around 7 pm with no reservation at all, door was closed but we knocked and a very friendly woman came and showed us the place. We waited in the patio drinking red wine and eating tortilla espanola until our table was ready. We had an excellent meal! I wish I knew before it has rooms to rent too!... More

Myself and two colleagues recently spent one night at Casa Roberto in mid March. I have to say we couldn't have had a better experience, our rooms were large and comfortable and the decor authentic with lots of wooden furniture and high ceilings. We were greated and led to our rooms and went for a short walk around the village.... More

Food was great. Since we don't speak any Spanish this was still not an issue. Momma was more than happy to explain everything in Spanish with zeal. Wish We could we would take her home with us. Her son the spoke perfect English and took time out and explained everything about local dishes and places.

We stayed at Pazo Cibran and they recommended Restaurante Roberto. I sort of know what one of the previous reviewers means about the slightly odd response of the father. Maybe its just a language thing? However, his son, the chef, received us, was very affable, spoke good English and delivered an outstanding meal. Do you know what its like to... More

We were staying at Pazo Cibran and booked Roberto's Restaurant on our first night. We did this by email so there was no doubt about when we would arrive at 8.30. The door was opened by Roberto and I said we had a reservation, we were shown to a table - he had not yet spoken a word. The house,... More

First of all we enjoyed Restaurant / Hostel Roberto, because of its authenticity. Friendly reception by the cook. Simple ( cold ), clean room, in which you have an accomodation which is not from this time. You think you travelled back in time to the early sixties, No wifi, but a blazing fire in the fireplace to enjoy with a... More
