Can’t fault the food. We had a five course tasting/surprise menu and all dishes (plus amuses to start with) were imaginative with the pike with smoked eel and sauerkraut being the star of the evening. We had some wines by the glass and all were...very pleasant. We subtracted a star for the fact that 1) you cannot get tap water. Tap water is purified and sold for 6 euros a bottle which is exorbitant. We had a situation before where we were charged for tap water, but the monies went to a charity, which was fine with us. 2) we were not allowed to keep the bottle of water on the table. This meant we had no sight of what we drank and this meant that at the end of the evening we found out we were actually charged for 2 bottles of water (no idea who this was calculated as bottles were shared between tables). 3) despite us deciding to go for a 5 course surprise menu, there was a lot of upselling. This felt as if the choice to have five courses was not respected. Oysters to be added as a starter, an extra fish course (or replace an existing course for a substantial supplement), caviar to be added to a course, cheese platter. Had we chosen all, the costs would have easily doubled. We actually felt sorry for the staff who had to do this (and for people who find it difficult to resist and say no). Although we had a very pleasant evening and enjoyed the meal and wine, the upselling did not help us enjoying our meal.More

What a great dining experience: ambiance, food, wines, service - it all was at top level. We have eaten at Michelin star restaurants that fade in comparison with this restaurant. Being open less than a year, the ambition is matched by execution. Well done! Keep...up the good work!More
