Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria situated on the seafront in Broad Haven, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. Serving authentic, tasty Italian dishes made in house, for all of the family to enjoy. Including coffee and cakes throughout the day, lunches and evening meals plus pizzas, hand made to order for eating in or to takeaway. Breakfast by the sea

Was heading to the beach and as it was misty thought we would have a coffee first. Saw this place and thought it looked nice so called in. The bacon ciabatta was amazing value, fresh roll and quality bacon and lovely coffee. The view from the outside seating area is stunning, uninterrupted views of the beach. We had our first breakfast on the eat out to help out but went back on Thursday and paid full price without quibble as such good value for money. All so clean and staff so lovely.

Much more than a Perfect Pizza

Very friendly greeting on arrival and noticed the same for everyone else who arrived after us. The Staff were attentive and informative and were always available without sitting on your shoulder. We sat inside as it was a bit breezy outside but, on a warmer day, the view from the outside tables is stunning. The food was served hot and together and everything tasted great. We had a mixture of Pizza and a Sea Bass dish. We finished the meal with a selection of over-indulgent Desserts, including a beautifully wobbly Pannacotta. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike. Pembrokeshire at its best.

Lovely Italian food with a view

We ate at Sunshine Italian twice during a stay at the adjoining Anchor guest house and loved it. The food was great - and there were plenty of choices for me as a vegetarian. We had both pizza and pasta and would recommend both, although the panna cotta was quite runny and didn’t seem to have set. The service, especially from Mario, was attentive and speedy - and the views of the sea front are lovely. Waiters also wore masks at all times. We found this by far the best place to eat in Broad Haven so would recommend booking ahead as it was packed both times we ate here.

Absolute Joke!!!

We saw on the boards outside the restaurant that they service pizza and pasta from 2pm, after all it was a Saturday so we thought even with the virus there shouldn't be a problem as other people were eating inside the restaurant. We went for a walk around Broad Haven and then, as we had our dog, I sat on a bench outside while my wife went in to see about ordering pizza to eat outside. She was told that the chefs were on their break and to come back in 20 mins.it was 3.40pm so we decided to wait. Come 4pm my wife went back to order and was told that it would be 5pm before we could order. What a joke, these people have no idea about customer service and we won't be returning!!!!

I am sorry to hear you missed the chance to try some of our delicious food! I think there may have been a communication mix up between yourselves and a member of our staff. Our food service hours are as follows: Breakfast 9.00am-11.00am Lunch 12.00pm-2.30pm Dinner 5.00pm-9.00pm Our staff pride themselves on our great level of customers service. Breathtaking view of the sunset

The best part of the experience was the view. Our table was booked for 8pm and I think we must have been their last reservation as the whole meal seemed rushed, they had “ran out of chicken and pizza” and the mains looked as though they’d been slapped into a bowl. The food was pretty bland to be honest until doused in salt and pepper and chunks of Parmesan - which was served in a plastic takeaway container with a tablespoon in it along with the waitress’s thumb & long gross acrylic nail when she chucked it on the table. You can see the level of effort from the chef by the way they’ve cut the garlic flatbread in the photo.

Pizza only allowed if your face fits.

We ordered a takeout pizza (you could eat outside with social distancing) but we were told that there was no pizza until 5pm. The sign clearly said that takeout pizza started at 12pm. It was 12:30pm when we tried to order. So we ordered some pasta instead. Literally a minute after we were told this a whole load of pizzas were brought out for a family, and another table had pizzas as well! Absolutely ridiculous.

Shocking service

If I could rate this restaurant 0 out of 5 I would. We booked a table this evening for food and explained we would be bringing our autistic client and asked for a quiet table - this was the only thing they got right, a quiet table in the corner. We ordered our drinks and then a pizza, garlic bread and x 2 pasta dishes. Our drinks came and no more than 5 minutes later we were told the gas had gone off and they wasn’t sure how long it would take for it to come back on… we explained unfortunately due to our client we wouldn’t be able to wait for all of the food as they had no idea how long it would be off for but if the pizza ovens were still working we would just have the pizza to take away. The lady came and asked if we meant the garlic bread of which we said “no the pepperoni pizza?” They never even wrote the pizza down when they took our order in the first place… We said we would eat elsewhere - the waitress then said “ok so you just want to pay for the drinks?” I argued this as we hadn’t even drank them! She replied “you have a can so can take it away”. She expected us to take our drinks into another restaurant? Baring in mind we had only been there for 5 minutes. Absolutely appalled by the service considering the circumstances and we will not be returning. AVOID.

Poor service, bill wrong and upselling all the time

I go to a restaurant for a nice time. Every time I go to this place they always try to get you to order more than you want. I hate it when the waiter is like a double glazing salesman trying to increase your order. Up selling. Making you feel uncomfortable. This time they added stuff on to our order anyway. We ordered the mixed antipasti and the scallops to start and we got the antipasti for two and the scallops. That's an extra £8. The glass of prosecco was tiny The starters took ages and then they served the main before we'd finished. We asked for another glass of wine to go with the main course and they didn't bring one. Then we asked again and eventually got one after we'd finished the main but two got added to the bill, an extra £6 The spaghetti bolognaise wasn't with spaghetti and it was cold. So based on what we ordered our bill should have been about £60. But it came to £75 because of the wine and the anti pasti orders being wrong. Another table had to drink their wine out of whisky glasses. The service is awful. It's not enjoyable to be pressurised to order more than you want. Just moved to Broad Haven. I will never go to this restaurant again.

Great for drinks, but avoid the food

View is amazing and really liked the garden outside. Also the service is friendly, I really liked our waiter who was really funny and charming. Unfortunately, the food was just really bad, portions were rather small and the lasagna I ate was tasteless. Also my friends were all unhappy with their pizzas that were burned and not very tasty. I would recommend going here for a drink, but you can skip anything food related.

Long waits and poor service

This restaurant disappointed me. The service wasnt fast or efficient as they only had 1 competent waiter, the food was nice enough however one meal came differently to how it was described, which was very irritating, to be honest I feel bad for the one good waiter as he is clearly trying but he just cant cope due to his illequiped team. If you are okay waiting 1 and a half hours for food, this restaurant might be for you, if you cant your food in a reasonable time, I wouldn't reccomend.

Hello Nick, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are so sorry to hear you had a poor experience with us. As you can imagine we have had an extremely busy bank holiday weekend, our first busy push since the lockdown. Our staff are all back to work after being on furlough for months, working long busy days and constantly masked up. Our whole team works extremely hard to provide our customers with helpful friendly service. Most of our comments are about how welcoming the staff are so we are sorry that you didn't experience this for yourself. During busy nights like bank holiday weekends are kitchen staff are working as fast as they can to get the food out and to a high standard. Wait times can be extended during these periods, but it is unheard of for tables to be waiting an hour and a half for food. If that was the case for you then I can only apologise and hope you come back again so we can wow you with our friendly service and delicious food.

Lovely Italian food

Lovely restaurant, very friendly and fantastic views over the beach. What a place to watch the sunset, whilst eating your food. The guy who was looking after us (I think his name was Anthony) was really friendly and was very hard working! The food we had was delicious, would recommend anyone to eat here for lovely Italian food.

We went there with wife eldest son, his wife and two kids, so the six of us were shown to our seats given menus and asked if we would like a drink by a very pleasant girl. The manager came over and welcomed us all, very good. Our order was taken and delivered in good time and all the meals were enjoyed. The place is right on the seafront with great views over the bay, a lovely location. The place is clean and tidy and despite being very busy it didn't feel crowded. The menu is quite small but big enough and all the food is cooked on the premises not microwaved. The ambiance is very pleasant as are all the staff. All in all we had a great time there and would recommend it to you all.

Excellent range and value of food, pizzas, pastas and salads that we tried were all amazing. Large vegan range. Lovely staff all round. Outdoor seating with beautiful views. I’ve marked down one star, because I realised in retrospect despite clearly asking for the vegan version of the pesto pasta the first time I tried it, I must have been given the vegetarian version with cheese sauce (I had assumed it was vegan cheese sauce given I had specifically ordered 2/3 of our meals for our family as the vegan versions listed on the menu). This is because when I ordered the same dish another evening, the vegan pesto pasta came without any sauce. Luckily I have no allergy but this could have been a serious error for someone with a dairy allergy, so the staff must ensure their ordering procedures and communication with the kitchen is as clear as possible.

Great food, shame they are so disorganised!

Highly frustrating…. Really nice food and good service, but got there around 8.10pm (when they were supposed to close at 9pm), only to be told they closed early because they were busy. We went there a few times this week, and it was a similar story… great food, but long wait times/ them having to turn people away and so on… so not sure whether they are victims of their own success or just disorganised! Either way, make sure you have a plan B for food!

Great pizza poor service

Arrived midweek for lunch, the place was only at 50% capacity but service was incredibly slow. The table behind us arrived at the same time and they weren’t asked if they wanted a drink or a menu until after we’d eaten! The owner came out towards the end and seemed to have turned the service around making sure everyone was served quickly. The pizzas I couldn’t criticise brilliant food.
