Great place to stop when coming down from gold hill express while heading doing see forever run. The wine selection was very good and the heaters outside made it tolerable in a snow storm.

The wine pairings were excellent. The food, however, was disappointing, Wait staff was very dedicated but were there to educate the less cultured. Questions were not welcomed when it came to the wine origin. I had the salmon, it was delicious. The greens were a bit overpowered with flavoring. The real disappointment was dessert. The choices were cheeses or a... More

My wife and I have been coming to Telluride a couple times a year for five years now. We always skied by Alpino Vino and never stopped. Finally we did, for lunch, and it was worth it. Greeted by a lovely hostess and taken to a cozy table in front of a crackling fire. We had the antipasto plate of... More

This place is over the top with views to die for, food that's awesome considering it's being cooked at close to 12,000 feet! and the wine list is second-to-none! Service is what you'd expect at a 5-Star restaurant. Can't say enough! You just have to experienced it yourself!

My wife and I have been visiting Alpino Vino for years. We thoroughly enjoy the five course paring of Italian wine with the Italian cuisine. This New Year's Day, we invited some friends to join us and they were amazed. The snowcat ride up the mountain was warm and comfortable. Our servers Daniel and Luke greeted us with big smiles... This restaurant evokes European skiing (as someone who has done a fair bit of skiing in France and Switzerland am serious!) and has a great atmosphere. The wine list and the wine choices are great. And the food is tasty. Service was really slow but every one of the staff is very pleasant. It gets cold if you are not... More

We are typically a family that carries a back pack full of sandwiches for lunches on slopes-this was a memorable exception! Nestled near the top of the mountain with outdoor seating managed with heat lamps and big blankets. Paninis, grilled cheese and soup tasted great but not sure you should ever pay $26 for a grilled cheese! However, if looking... More

WOW! Gorgeous little chalet style restaurant with REAL coffee and the best menu I've seen on the mountain. The price is also something to be aware of as its very expensive ($8USD for a cuppa ..) We ordered the special which was a pork sausage panini with caramalised onion, seeded mustard and cooked to perfection. YUM! It's big enough to... More

Originally a private retreat built on a historic mining claim, this new addition to Telluride’s award-winning restaurants is a quaint European hütte perched near the top of Gold Hill. With hand-hewn beams and furniture crafted from reclaimed wine barrels, Alpino Vino provides a high alpine ambience and is reminiscent of restaurants found throughout the Dolomites of Northern Italy. Inside, a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with a wood burning fireplace, stone floors and exposed wood beams, provides a perfect retreat from the slopes.Situated at 11,966’, Alpino Vino offers fantastic views of the Wilson Range. The expansive multi-tiered deck is a truly unique spot to enjoy a glass of wine with its European teak furniture, coveted daybed and comfortable sheepskin throws. An outdoor wine bar offers a spectacular setting for a midday escape. To visit Alpino Vino during the ski season, take Gold Hill Express (Lift 14) and turn left off the lift to ski down See Forever to our front door.Come enjoy the unique experience that is Alpino Vino!
