What a neat spot! A glass of champagne at 12,000 feet. What could possibly be better? Just be careful how much you drink. it’s solid blue run the whole way down!

The highest restaurant in North America at 12000 ft - heavenly indeed. We had one of the most memorable lunches ever here two years ago , so were somewhat apprehensive about trying to remake a magic moment. Well we need not have worried. Amidst the...More

I've occasionally stopped by for lunch when the skiing isn't great but the weather is. Never cheap, always enjoyable, with a truly superb wine selection, all at just shy of 12,000'. You'll forgo the view at night unless the moon is out, but taking a...More

Highest altitude gourmet restaurant in North America. Expensive, but SO worth it. Not recommended for persons who have trouble breathing over 11,000 feet altitude. Hardly any walking involved, however. The gondola and snow cat ride is memorable. The food is unforgettable. Two choices of entrees...More

My number 1 place on the mountain or in the village. There was not a time that I skied down the trail in front that I didn't find a reason to stop. Best to plan ahead, however don't hesitate to do a drop in....more often...More

Def the No.1 place to eat for charm, location, service, don't go for the views, go for simple hearty food.

I probably should rate this higher, they do an excellent job at what it is - a pricey quaint Italian restaurant near the peak of Telluride Ski Resort. They have wine, cheese, paninis, and very little seating. They do have outdoor seating for spring skiing....More

We shared a charcuterie appetizer between three people with a prosecco. MMMmmm. Yummy perfect skiing break after you've been playing in Revelation Bowl. Light enough to keep going. So wonderful dining al fresco. It was like being in another world. The service was superb.

Overall experience was good at the highest elevation restaurant in the United States. Grilled cheese and tomato soup was outstanding for lunch. Nice list of wines by the glass. Very pricey.

Great ride with a snow cat to get to the restaurant. Fabulous views and a very nice greeting with Proseco. The menu is fixed with 5 courses. I loved all of them, maybe not 100% the trout (main course), but all in all it was...More

Just wine and beer as we were told. But my server said there was grappa and port. Both (I guess) technically wine.

I am pretty sure they do not since it is mid-mountain and only accessible to skiers for lunch.

Originally a private retreat built on a historic mining claim, this new addition to Telluride’s award-winning restaurants is a quaint European hütte perched near the top of Gold Hill. With hand-hewn beams and furniture crafted from reclaimed wine barrels, Alpino Vino provides a high alpine ambience and is reminiscent of restaurants found throughout the Dolomites of Northern Italy. Inside, a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with a wood burning fireplace, stone floors and exposed wood beams, provides a perfect retreat from the slopes.Situated at 11,966’, Alpino Vino offers fantastic views of the Wilson Range. The expansive multi-tiered deck is a truly unique spot to enjoy a glass of wine with its European teak furniture, coveted daybed and comfortable sheepskin throws. An outdoor wine bar offers a spectacular setting for a midday escape. To visit Alpino Vino during the ski season, take Gold Hill Express (Lift 14) and turn left off the lift to ski down See Forever to our front door.Come enjoy the unique experience that is Alpino Vino!
