Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An absolutely fabulous place, slightly off the beaten track, but easily reached from town or harbour. We had a Monday night dinner in late Sept, and expected a very quiet night, but the place was buzzing! The food was fabulous, by far the best we...had on the island over 6 days (though everywhere else was great too). The attention to detail (eg in the preparation of veg and the presentation of the meals) was exceptional. We expected the bill to be on the high side, but it was extremely reasonable. Lovely waiting staff. I would have returned like a shot, but Hubby felt there were not enough menu choices for him (I would just have had the same again!) If it is always this busy off-season, you will need to book. Many thanks!More

A great meal out with superb food. quiet and efficient wait staff. Pleasant atmosphere. Daivid has really got is food meu sorted. The fish dishes were tasty and sauces flavoursome. The highlight was the Le Francais pudding in three small pots. The chocolate pudding was...beyond TASTY BELIEF. Three cheers I thought. Well worth a visit and reasonably priced menu for what you receive. Give it a go!!More

Fabulous atmosphere and delicious food. Stayed at Harbour Lights Hotel for a business trip and enjoyed an evening meal at Le Pesked. Delicious food and lovely service.

Great little restaurant. Everything tasted very fresh and chef cooked. Met the chef. Very enjoyable evening. A job to know what to choose! Give it a try.

This restaurant within the Harbour Lights Hotel is a superb place to enjoy dinner, the best place on Alderney. The chef, David, is an excellent chef and produces delicious cuisine and plenty of it. I had the goat's cheese in filo pastry with pear for...starter and salmon with an lip-smacking sauce.More

Was recommeded this venue by two local people. The menu stated gluten free dishes that included bread and bread crumb items. My wife who wanted a gluten free meal asked the waitress about this. After consulting with the Chef, she stated just have the meal...without the bread and crumbed item. We ordered steak, one sirloin and one ribeye. The ribeye was full of fat and tough, both steaks were poor quality. The pepper sauce was simply watered down no substance.More

I often make French onion soup - my favourite. I assumed that, made by a French chef, it would be authentic. Not in this visit. The onions should be cooked very slowly for a long time over a very low hear until they caramelise and...turn dark brown. Sadly, this was very much not the case here. Presumably time restraints?More

The restaurant is well known for its excellent food and imaginative dishes. The set Christmas menu was really tasty with portions on the generous size. The marinated beef and the other opening dishes were good. The mains of vegetarian and the fish course were very...well cooked . The puddings were to die for with crème brûlée and various chocolate desserts much appreciated by the party. Well recommended. Give it a goMore

We saved a visit to the restaurant for our last night at the hotel. We'd heard that Le Pesked was one of the top restaurants on Alderney and the rumours were spot on. David (chef patron) is French so we indulged ourselves with French Onion...Soup (if a French chef can't do this, who can?). Superb. The Sea Bass was, apparently, delish. I plumped for Poulet Bretonne (never had it before but, again, it's French so trust the French chef). My word, it was good. And the dessert. Gosh. We shared the 3-desserts: cafe something (complet?), choc mousse and creme brulee. Wow. Just, wow. Definitely on the list for a return next time we end up on Alderney.More

All of our three courses were delicious, but the chocolate mousse was particularly fabulous. Well priced too, including the very good wine list.

We stayed at the hotel for a friend’s wedding for 2, should have been 3, nights. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were amazing! The host, David, was absolutely lovely. When we found out we had to fly a day early due...to fog, he waived the cost of the room for that night. He couldn’t have booked it out again so that was just amazing. Thank you David! Can’t fault the place. Just fab with amazing views! We will absolutely stay there again!More

The food was what could only be described as a standard M&S microwave meal with a good layout. The menu looked as if a child had printed it out at home and brought it in as a show and tell. One staff member in particular...was beyond unwelcoming and made myself and my family feel like he was actually trying to intimidate us; he lacked manners and was dressed like he had just stepped out of a rough night of pub crawling. Even the children did not want to stay for dessert and we left at their request. The bread we were presented with could have been used to stone someone to death had it been 1745. I would not ever revisit and had already heard several warnings about dining here from the majority of my close friends.More

We (3 of us) took a week's holiday staying at a nearby villa and we visited various Alderney restaurants. The best (we went 3 times) was Le Perked at Harbour Lights, where we found exceptional food, beautifully presented at a sensible price. Despite what others...have said about service, we had great service with a wonderful smile - maybe it's improved since others visited. The menu has about 10 main course offering with some items changing daily so always something new to try. Lots of Fine Wines to choose from, but the House Wine was very acceptable at £18 per bottle or £10 to take away - no alcohol is sold in supermarkets on Alderney! Even the (fairly quiet) background music was noticeably well chosen. I wish we could find restaurants this good on the South Coast without having to pay a fortune at Michelin star places! Highly recommended.More

Location suited us but it is a hilly walk to St Ann's. Quiet, comfortable room. Supermarkets nearby but other restaurants are not so close. We didn't mind as the restaurant here is superb. Breakfasts were great too. David seems to do practically everything including being...chef. Think the hotel would benefit if he had a manager. For evening meals make a table reservation as it can be very busy. Good value and we would certainly stay there again if returning to Alderney..More
