Following news that this place had just been named as the country's best curry house we decided to try. The curries we ordered were tasty,not swimming in oil and good size portions .The service was excellent. Even though it was slightly more expensive, you pay...for quality. We decided to try this place after they recently won an award but sadly the food did not match the service and ambience. Our tandoori starters were smothered in a bland red sauce with onions and when my Wife’s main meal came it was lukewarm...and had to be returned to the kitchen. For some reason her Chicken Tikka Biriyani came with a shed load of raw onions. The tikka was in tiny tiny pieces and tasted very dry. My King Prawn Balti was ok but the sauce was uninspiring. The service and cleanliness was excellent just a shame the food did not match it.More

Long waits to get food which was not piping hot. Ordered Bindi gosht - curry was very dry despite not being described as so. Lamb was absolutely tasteless and dry - and just had the texture of lamb….it had obviously been pre cooked for too...long until no flavour left before adding to the curry, it could have been anything. Portions of curry quite small and looked lost in their dishes. Another of our party ordered chicken korma which looked about as exciting as a frozen microwave curry - lack of flair with garnish - it was bland looking. Mixed grill overpriced for what you get. Keema rice was nice and also the chapattis. Naan breads could do with a scattering of fresh coriander to make them look less boring. Salad accompaniments are so pale and lack colour. It was very overrated considering they have won an award…. 🤷🏻‍♀️ - overall they get 4/10 from us. I’m afraid won’t be going again as it wasn’t worth the spend to us. I’ve had far better from many other places who haven’t won awards…..More

Great food, loved it! We visited on the back of recent positive media recommendations, and the place didn't disappoint. The food was flavoursome, well presented, and the service was good. We needed some advice on gluten-free options and were well informed. The bill came to...£90 for four with drinks, well go back.More

A friend treated us to a meal the same day as they were attending the awards event. We had never eaten here but had read about their previous award. The restaurant was well decorated and very clean. The food was delicious. I am extremely particular...about the quality of my meat and they met my standard. The young staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly. It was lovely to be able to spend a few moments on leaving to chat with them about their future plans. Thoroughly amenable young men. We will definitely return and Thank you all!More

Average food however the service was poor. We asked for our bill then waited ages to pay, then told its cash only. We were not told during booking or when we arrived that it was cash only. Me and my sister were forced to find...a cash machine in the rain with no apology what so ever. Lots of awkward bank transfers to settle the bill. Who doesn’t take card payments these days, get a grip !!!!!!More

Food is always absolutely perfect ! Never ever have an issue. Staff happy to accommodate requests and are very polite and helpful. Always amazing food ! Xxx
