All products are of a really high quality. The presentation is simple, typical vasque. The starters are good, an outstanding anchovies this with toast and olive oil. The saldad, tomatoes and other vegetables are full of flauvour. The t-bone is wonderful and magnificent done. Perhaps the fish was to done and with to much vinegar. The desserts are correct, give... Great fish to share (large portions). Good house wine and oil (better the wine than the oil). I've been there at least 3 times and quality is consistent over the time.

The hostel we were staying at suggested we dined at Martintxo when we asked them to suggest and asador. We walked there from the town centre; it took just under one hour, so we arrived nice and hungry. We had rodaballo, lubina and sardinas, all rigorously "a la brasa" - grilled to perfection. We accompanied with grilled chili peppers, and... More

Was there the third time. I love the olive oil for a good start. It is self made there. The meat is fabolus at a reasonable price for the quality. Order some jamon iberico as a starter... Looking forward to going there soon again!

As far as Asadores go, which is the Basque equivalent a a steak house that carries sea food on the side, Asador Martinxo is one of the best in a region known for its magnificent food. Just a few minutes away from Pamplona, Martinxo offers a 'Chuletón' which is a T bone that would make any Texan red with envy.... More

The Asador Martintxo is well knonw in the area. We were taken by our business partners for informal lunch. Just about everything we ordered was top notch. Sparragus, "Relleno Casero" (a local specialty ... sort of wurst made of egg and rice), Chistorra (local sausage) as starters was plenty to keep us busy while waiting for the "Txuleton" which was... On the outskirts of Pamplona, near the A15 motorway to Zaragoza/ San Sebastian..Cizur Menor requires a sharp right after the gas station at the A15 exit roundabout. One you find the village, the restaurant is well signposted. It´s an attractive stone house in a former bakery, and they use the old oven to good purpose. We reviewed this last year,... More

Expensive, but delitious for singular days. The upper part is "Asador". Downstairs, "Sidrería". Excellent chuletón and solomillo. The atmosphere is a little bit loud, not very intimate, but nice for a large table of family or friends.

La Sidreria Asador Martintxo has excellent fish and meat dishes. The place also serves very typical dishes from Navarra such as white asparagus and peppers that were excellent. The downstairs sidreria has a giant cider keg in the back where one can get a bit of the locally produced cider straight out of the barrel! Excellent desserts including arroz con... More

Well, technically, a few kilometers outside Pamplona, but a great spot, nevertheless. Not cheap but the food and service is among the best. If you haven't tried beef in the north of Spain, this might be a good place to start. The beef here is the BEST. Period.
