Table service, friendly staff, clean and bright cafe. New to the area we will be visiting the shop and cafe often
Thank you for your lovely feedback and welcome to the area! We hope to see you back again soon.
We were passing through Stalbridge and called in the Dike and sons supermarket to pick up provisions. We found Williams Cafe within the supermarket. Due to the COVID-19 limitations the cafe was subject to pre booking. We asked for availability and as luck would have...it we managed to go straight in. The staff were all brilliant and helpful, the cafe was very well laid out for safe distancing. Staff were cleaning everywhere that the previous customers had been sitting. We felt quite safe as a result. The food was nicely presented and of very good quality for a supermarket cafe. The staff were all very helpful and obliging, a nice little find that is well worth visiting if passing through.More

There was some shopping required, so 3 of us called in for a quick lunch. Two of us had the chicken in mustard cream sauce with potatoes & veg - delicious. I could quite happily (but greedily) gone around again. The 3rd member of the...party was accommodated with mayo-free food to suit her allergies, which was also delicious and much-appreciated. We're all happy to go back soon.More
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us such a lovely review! We're so glad you enjoyed your lunch and look forward to seeing you again at William's Cafe.
Set inside Dikes supermarket in Stalbridge williams cafe is well worth a visit, even just for a quick coffe. The staff are attentive, cheerful and helpful. The menu ranges from breakfast to lunch and afternoon tea, all excellently cooked and using local produce. They can...also cater for functions which you will need to book. Dikes has excellent parking facilities but be aware that it is a popular local shop and can get busy at peak times. Highly reccomended.More

We like to support local business however Dike's cafe is spoilt by the slow inattentive service from the staff. We arrived at 1pm in the middle of lunch rush hour (bad move and lesson learnt) and there was a 25 minute wait for hot food...so decided to skip it and just have drinks instead. We ordered a coffee and a hot choc which never materialised. The waitress who had served my husband was no longer behind the counter and had not written down the order so after approx 15 minutes of waiting at our table we gave up. I went up to the till and got our money back. Where drinks are ordered it would work better if the customer waits for the drink to be made before being seated like in the big chain coffee shops (it works well), otherwise like here the orders take too long as drinks and meal orders are mixed together. Additional staff required in the cafe and a higher attention to detail from the staff. employed.More

Nice food and good selection. Very slow service on simple items and a cafe in need of more weekend staff.

We live about 9 miles away and call in here on our way to Waitrose. We often have breakfast which is first class. Freshly produced local products, drinks are included in the set price. I usually judge breakfasts by the quality of the bacon and...theirs is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful and prices are reasonableMore
It is always a pleasure to visit the restaurant at Dike&Son in Stalbridge, Dorset. Today it was just a quick "pit-stop" as it were but I have enjoyed catching up with long-term friends there too. The variety of seating areas is excellent... gives the customers...a choice and there are various areas within the restaurant having different atmospheres. The historic pictures are such an interesting feature especially for the "senior youngsters". The service is cheerful and the staff are real people who can hold an interesting conversation. Today's pot of tea was just right. A real teapot and friendly service. Really do recommend this restaurant. GlobalNomadMore
Visiting relatives in the area so called in here for breakfast. Very clean and all of the Staff are very friendly. The breakfast is excellent, locally sourced produce and not a drop of grease on the plate. The daily specials board looked very appetising with...various home made dishes to choose from. I would highly recommend Dike & Son.More
We were visiting the area and stopped in the cafe for a drink. Very clean and cool as it was a very hot day. All staff very friendly and happy to talk about the history of the Dike family business.
Called in here for lunch with family, quite busy but found a nice comfortable area, no waitress service just order at the counter. Nice clean and tasty food served at a reasonable price. The café is in Dikes supermarket, , the price in the supermarket...is quite expensive compared to most food shops.More
I have come here an quite a few occasions for a mid morning brunch & have never been disappointing. Very well cooked food, polite & friendly staff & clean & tidy area to sit in. Well done Dike's keep up the great work!
