Three of us had dinner at the Tavern one evening while visiting St Andrews. All of our meals - salmon, beef stroganoff, fish pie - were outstanding. Large portions and absolutely delicious. We liked it so much that two nights later we went back to soak in the atmosphere and share a dessert over coffee. That night we were seated... More

I'm up at the Tavern every couple of weeks for the Pub Quiz, 1st and 3rd Tuesdays. There's always a friendly atmosphere and a good range of beers. Food is also very good in the restaurant.

I've passed by this establishment numerous times but never ventured in. Always thought that it looked picturesque. I was looking for somewhere to go with my wife for dinner but unfortunately although they have a website no menu's were listed. A quick phone call later, 'Yes Sir, if you wish Cullen skink as a starter that won't be a problem'.... More

Was staying at Rufflets hotel and found this tavern nearby and ate one meal here. The Quality of food and service were excellent with a small welcoming bar for an aperitif before dining

Our large party of 6 adults and 5 children ( 5 - 10 years old ) was well catered for on the nicely balanced menu. Portions were substantial, the food was delicious and the service was first class. It was well worth the short journey out from St Andrews and we were lucky to have 2 volunteer drivers who said... More

My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary here. Just our two selves enjoying a pleasant evening in comfortable if not plush surroundings but very tasty food. I started with the mushroom and haggis which was really delicious. I have never tasted haggis as nice as this. I then had fish pie, mash and vegetables. Essentially carrots and a... More

We come to the Tavern regularly for meals and have never been disappointed. The food is good pub fare (actually better than that) and is reasonably priced. Service os always friendly and efficient. The bar has an interesting range of beers including guest beers which change regularly. In the summer you can sit outdoors and on a nice evening get... More

i visit whenever I'm in the St Andrews area (usually at local camp site). The food is freshly prepared, always tasty and not overpriced. The bar has a good selection of house wine and the staff are friendly. There's limited car parking outside the Tavern but there's always the main road and a local authority free car park a short...
