Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came her tonight, i had the steak and my partner had the chicken in creamy garlic sauce, was unreal! Very lovely atmosphere, there were both english and french people in the bar. Very reasonably priced as well. Such friendly welcoming staff, we biked and...due to the rain, the owners even offered us a lift home because of the horrible conditions! Ive already recommended to my family that will stay here! Not a place to be missed!More

We were staying nearby and the Cafe Le Musee was recommended by our hosts as the perfect place for lunch. They were absolutely right; this was the best lunch we had all week in the Loire Valley. A starter of fresh salad was followed by...Steak and chips for me, hamburger and chips for my husband accompanied by a carafe of wine, dessert, then coffee, and all for E13.50 a head. Having walked in the heat we were also given multiple carafes of iced water. The lovely couple who run the cafe were so welcoming and friendly, the bar and facilities are lovely with the sort of attention to detail that is hard to find these days. Situated right in the middle of the village of Parcay Les Pins by the war memorial this cafe is well worth a visit.More

The menu du jour is substantial including entree, plat and dessert with wine. Most mains are served with frites and salad but there are also meals with vegetables. They're always served by friendly staff who obviously enjoy ensuring that their guests have what they want....Would recommend this for lunch when in the area.More

My husband and I have been coming to Parcay for 11 years and its really nice to see the bar open lots and generating the feeling of life in Parcay. We went for a week in August and went for the fish and chip night...on Thursday (nice food, worth a visit) and for the live music on a Friday. It was a fun night. My sister and family also went for a coffee in the day and enjoyed it.More

We're staying in the area, and found this little gem. A bar/restaurant/tabac. It's owned and run by Darren and Louise Miller, who also live close by. Lunch is served 12.00 - 13.30 and is typical of most French menu du jour with a salad starter,...beef or gammon main, and either cheese or tart dessert followed by coffee. This is how the French spend lunchtime and this establishment is civilised and friendly. They cater for all visitors and are here all year round. Thank you for a lovely meal. Alan & Ruth.More

As guests in the area for a week we quickly settled in to a routine of having morning coffee here and croissants bought over the road from the nearby epicerie/boulangerie. English owned it attracts a number of English customers. Owners/staff are very helpful and friendly...and arranged to cook fish on the evening menu for a non meat eater. This is a no frills cafe/restaurant but offers a French feel; very friendly service and a lunch menu of €13.50 for three courses including a small jug/pitcher of wine and bread. An enjoyable experience.More

When we arrived in Parcay-les-Pins on the Friday evening, to stay for a week, we passed this little café, and it was packed out, with what looked like a British folk group playing. As we planned to eat there the next evening, we thought it...would be good idea to book a table, so we did. We needn't have bothered, as when we arrived to take our table, we were almost the only people there. Not only that, but they seemed to be almost all English, as was the proprietor. We hadn't realised that this little village had been largely taken over by the English. The café owner was very friendly and chatty, and told us everything about her place, and about the village, so we were very well-disposed to her. The food was good and well-cooked, without being outstanding, and we left there a couple of hours later very pleased with a satisfying meal in a pleasant environment.More
