A popular chinese restaraunt that lives up to its reputation. Very fine subtle tastes. Spacious interior with very welcoming and attentive staff. I cannot comment on price as I was a guest and was not allowed to pay. However if you are travelling into Skudai with stronger currency (ie. AUD$ / NZ$), it will be a steal!!

It still serves the taste from your parents or even grandparents. The price is reasonable for chinese restaurant and their portion is big enough to make you full.

The service level can be better as the staff are not very attentive. Plates has not been changed at all for a 9 course set dinner. We have to change plates on our own. The washroom hygiene need to be improved. The restaurant we were at is along the row of shop houses and not the one where they do... More

I attended Orimax's arranged Genting dinner at this spacious restaurant with suckling pig (whole) and scallops. It was the first time and it was superb food as the presentation and the taste was to our liking. I went out to explore and I was told that for smaller functions, they are held at the original restaurant across the street. This... More

I have been living near the restaurant by 85-90. It used to be great and famous but when i revisited last year, i dont find the quality of old times is there anymore. Now is more cut cost and manpower operations using foreign workers. These are the 2 causes of why the taste had changed a lot. I would still... More

Went there few times, all for weddings. Food taste average. The owner seems wants to earn more and more that each time went, find that the space between tables become smaller and smaller. And very noisy cos too close with wedding function next door- only put a partition in between. We could here the next door MC clearer than the... More

I had been living in the same street with Maedo during my childhood time. It was quite good back in that time but it went very bad during my past two visits (New year and last month). Their dishes were plainly salty and over-seasoned and without any exception to their toufu, vege and broth that were supposed to be mild.... More

Reasonably priced even when it was still around CNY back in Feb. Quite authentic teo chew taste, steamed fish did about just nice. Must try the 扣肉包! Place is slightly run down due to the number of years it had been in business, but if it's the quality of the food that you look for; you will not be disappointed.
