Lovely food, nice surroundings and friendly people. Would be lovely in the garden in the summer. Wine was great too 😃

We were advised to go to this pub for lunch by the local plantsmans nursery . We were grateful for the recommend. The food was freshly prepared and of an outstanding quality. The staff were just friendly enough.

We wanted to try a new place to eat and this pub was an excellent choice. Everything about it was top class, from when we were welcomed in right through to paying the bill, I could not find fault. The food was excellent, so well cooked and perfectly presented. We will definitely be back.

Love this place, top lunchtime menu that we always order from. They're are normally 5 or six of us and they always look after us very well, even though we occasionally have muddy boots. Very good staff, very good food and beautiful village. Very good for walking near by including old Winchester hill.

We stayed one night here whilst visiting friends in the area. The ambiance and appearance is a typical old English pub. The food was excellent, especially the beer-battered scampi! The beer was well kept and, as mentioned by others, the home made pork scratching and apple sauce were a real delight. The bedroom was very comfortable and breakfast was traditional,... More

We came across this Inn by chance. Very traditional, the staff were very attentive. Even though we did not have a meal the menu looked exciting and judging by the amount of tables set up it was a very popular eating house. However we did sample their home made pork scratching with apple sauce dip. Excellent, but mind your teeth!!

What better way to end a splendid country walk than a lunch in a traditional English pub. Set in the quintessential English village of East Meon in the Meon Valley, this welcoming establishment offers a good selection of meals from its menu. Don't expect to find your traditional pub fayre of pies and burgers but others such as posh fish... More

I really loved this pub.....we had a meal here whilst I was staying in Petersfield visiting my cousin. We had some olives to start & I had the lamb for main which was cooked really nicely with some great flavours. I also had the white chocolate & salted caramel brownie for dessert :) the pub was very cosy & the... More

We were made to feel welcome despite only just arriving before they shut for 3 hours. Really appreciated being upgraded having somehow mistakenly booked a twin room. Good food (both evening meal & breakfast). An enjoyable overnight stay which gave us the opportunity for walking and exploring such a lovely village.
