What a find this place is. The fire was warm, the staff were fantastic and the food was excellent. Even our two Labradors enjoyed it.

A hidden gem well worth the effort to visit. The food was excellent, well prepared, well cooked and in particular very well seasoned. As an added bonus the horseradish sauce was freshly made! The waiting staff were well organised, friendly and efficient. Well done to...everyone and thank you.More

Absolutely first class from the welcome through the door to leaving. It was steak night and we were invited out for our friend’s birthday. It was sirloin in the menu and I opted for a rare to medium with the brandy and mushroom sauce. Due...to an arm injury I struggle cutting food at the moment and the member of the serving team overheard me saying to my husband that he’d need to cut my steak. They kindly said not to worry and, if I preferred, they’d have the chef do that for me. When my steak arrived I was not disappointed! It was cooked and cut to perfection. I followed up with the white chocolate and raspberry gateaux. One word….Divine!! The service and food was absolutely top notch and all guests in our party of 4 reflected this. We’ll certainly be back!More

This place is just perfect. It's in the middle of nowhere but it's ideal. The location is superb. If you were to have a wedding, a party, dinner or just go to the pub and have a drink. Ideal. The food is 10 out of...10 and the staff are so good and professional. I literally have no complaints and I can't wait to go back. I got the beef roast and it was a 10 out of 10.More

Chose The Drovers for refreshments following my late wife's funeral. The spread that was laid out was fantastic. Warm sausage rolls, copious sandwiches with various fillings on white and brown bread, and delicious homemade cakes. Plenty of tea and coffee served by pleasant, friendly staff,...who made our party very welcome. They even supplied boxes for the few leftovers to be taken home. I would highly recommend The Drovers at Memus.More

Disgusted in the service from the manager Kim she must have me mistaken as a different person and has accused me of complaining every time I’m in there as I have never complained before I would class my self as a good customer will a...food bill of £100+ most times and this time I was talked to like rubbish Appalling treatment of a customer and refused to let me speak to the owner can’t complain about the boy who served us as he was a lovely young man but this time we got referred to Kim and well she’s accused me of sending a fillet steak back last time I was there what I have never ordered as I don’t eat fillet steak! My husband has complained once in the past over raw lamb and they then gave him the same lamb back what he still paid for I’m so upset over they way I have been spoken to also she told me she won’t forget me like I’m some kind of deviant would not recommend place used to be 10/10 but has gone down hill and food is average and treat the customers like there doing you a favour buy serving youMore

After a *strenuous* hike at Glen Prosen our group of 16 lucked upon the Drover's Inn at a weird 3pm not-lunch/not-dinner hour. The cherry blossoms were blowing in the air and piled on the immaculate grass. I thought maybe I had died on the hike...and was now in heaven. Close! The staff accommodated our large and unannounced party and we had a delicious and memorable meal. Hip hip hooray, our best meal of the trip!More

We booked in here for a big meal after a day out hillwalking. Did not disappoint and cannot fault a thing. Service was good. Risotto was tasty but really enjoyed the brie and onion tart for the starter. Too full for desserts but they looked...yummy. This is a lovely spot in a lovely area! Loads of outdoor seating which would've been grand on a slightly nicer day!More

Visited today as we stay in Balloch so sometimes we pop in for lunch. It's always been good, great portions and good staff- however today was a massive disappointment. My husband ordered steak pie which was bland, chewy and watery. His mash was cold and...veg undercooked 😐 we both had a try to cut a bit of cauliflower and it was rock hard. Basically raw. I had a burger which was absolutely disgusting. Cheap nasty meat with chewy bits in it, cheap bland haggis on a brioche bun. Worse burger ever!!! Would have complained to the staff if actually somebody bothered to ask us how our food is but unfortunately staff wasn't interested to do so 🤷🏻‍♀️ So for 2 meals, pint of coke and pint of orange juice and lemonade we paid £37.35. nearly £11 for juice? Really??? What a waste of money and time. Well there was one positive- chips were lovely!!! Really really good. So a star for that. Otherwise if I could do so it would be 0.More
