The Drovers Inn is an intriguing pub and restaurant offering both a traditional Scottish inn atmosphere and contemporary fine dining. Situated midway between Forfar and Kirriemuir,in the little village of Memus.Enjoy a hearty meal and a well earned ale by the fire in our traditional Scottish pub after a days walking in the Angus Glens or savour a superb meal in our elegant, stylish sixty seat restaurant. In summer our guests also enjoy the outdoor dining area under the trees while their children romp in the large open air play area. Our menu features modern Scottish cuisine at its very best, using herbs from our own garden and quality, locally sourced seasonal produce. We ate in the restaurant which is finished to a high standard. The menu was varied and with little twists to give it real interest. Everything we had was very well cooked, well presented and with really good flavour. Service was friendly and efficient without...being overbearing.More

Tried 10 times always goes to voicemail. Waste of time going to Andersons instead! How do they expect to stay in business

This was my fourth visit to the Drovers Inn and as always it was simply amazing. We were celebrating my son's birthday and took him to the Inn for the steak night. I was hoping to sit in the bar as it certainly has an...unique ambience but like us, many other customers must have thought the same as well!!! So we had sit in the main dining hall which is not bad. The tables are spaced out so you don't hear conversations from the next table. The food arrived very promptly and was incredible. The steaks were of considerable size and cooked to perfection. The desserts too were very good. Booking a table is recommended as it is a popular place to eat especially on steak nights. Booking is very easy, I did it through their Facebook page and you get a very prompt reply. I have never been there on a bright sunny day and I guess, it would be lovely sitting out at the tables in the garden. Recommend this place wholeheartedly and will be visiting again soon.More

As a visitor staying with friends I had no expectation of The Drovers other than freshly cooked local produce. What I experienced was indeed all of these things but additionally was the most beautifully presented and delicious meal that I have tasted for a very...long time served with such care and attention- couldn’t recommend it highly enough- absolutely excellent!More

We went here for a birthday lunch for my Mum and we were so impressed. The food was literally outstanding and we all agreed we hadn’t eaten food this good in a very long time. My halibut in filo pastry with leeks and clams was...so delicious and the pudding, Toffee Apple Trifle was a thing to behold. Because I had mentioned it was my Mum’s birthday they had made a special personalised one for her, a lovely touch. Can’t wait to come back thank you 😊More

We ate in the bar and had a superb meal. Surroundings were very comfortable and the staff welcoming and professional. Prices are reasonable and portions generous. The Drover’s Inn is a real gem and we will definitely return.

This place is out of this world. We booked via their website one day prior as we were holidaying in the area. The restaurant was very tastefully decorated, the team were very polite and attentive. I can honestly say this was the best meal I...can remember eating. All three courses. The pigeon on a bed or barley was delicious and so beautifully presented. Our steaks took a little longer to come out due to an incident in the kitchen. My one-the rare one has been cooked a little too long so the chef cooked up another one. I appreciated the honestly, some places would still have served an over done steak. It was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had and 100% well worth the wait. Puddings were amazing- the panacotta looked and tasted amazing. We will absolutely be back here and cannot recommend here enough.More

Catered for not just the adults but also the children. Food was amazing - especially the wood pigeon and venison. Well worth a visit.
