Such a lovely setting very near Oare marshes which is good for bird watching. The pub serves the most delicious food. We had an excellent lunch selected from the Walkers menu. The food was freshly cooked to order, served with a smile and was great...value for money.More

Absolutely magical. We had a pint of prawns, oysters, bread and olives, rockfish and moule. All cooked to perfection. The mussels were the star and the pot was easily enough for two if not three! We'd come to watch Yesterday showing on the outdoor cinema....It was delightful and the sound of wildlife in the creek in the background and bats flitting overhead was enchanting. The staff were spot on, especially Liz. Picture perfect evening. Thank you❤️More

Visited for a special Sunday lunch for my husband and myself following a stint in hospital and Covid. Thought we would try you. Looked promising. Log fire and atmosphere inviting. However, food very disappointing. £22 for a meal, without any additional sides. We had cauliflower...cheese at £5 extra for each of us. Without that side, the plate would not have looked full. Some of food was lukewarm. Potatoes sad, not crispy or fluffy. Three small pieces of pork. We opted for Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert but this was dry, certainly not unctuous and certainly not covered with a delicious sticky sauce. The staff were friendly and efficient but this did not make up for the food. So sad to give this review. We do go to another pub/restaurant in the Faversham area from time to time and this offers better value for money and an excellent Sunday lunch.More

This pub was perfect, with spacious tables, rustic/stylish decor, cool background music and friendly/efficient/relaxed service. Then the menu…not vast but each dish interesting and something for everyone, and a great specials board. You think it can’t get any better…but if it’s Friday and you order...the fish of the day, you can upgrade for £2 and have a glass of fizz. And the fizz is none other than Chapel Down! Wow! Apparently you can substitute this with other wine or beer, but a glass of Chapel Down for an extra £2? That gets my vote. What a place! We’ll definitely be back - probably on a Friday.More

I have had a lot of meals in pubs over the years and this one is right up there with the best. The food was delicious (I had the 'special' hake) and beautifully presented. The service was faultless and it was a lovely place to...relax after a vigorous walk round the marshes, birdwatching and talking with my friend. It is not the cheapest meal out but you get what you pay for. We didn't have starters or desserts but the coffee was nice, too.More

Strange and rather expensive menu - odd mix of burgers and cote de boeuf (costing £60!!). Very busy but not staffed sufficiently to cope. Food ok but overall a poor experience. We won’t be coming back - a shame as this used to be one...of our favourite venues.More

Excellent meal. Much more than a Gastropub. First class menu and delivery. Have not visited since Covid. Will definately be visiting again. Super fresh oysters and a beautiful skate wing in lemon and caper butter rounded off with a duck egg rhubarb panna cotta. Friendly...and attentive staff. So pleased to rediscover. Will definately be lunching here again.More

We visited this pub for the first time today on the off-chance of having a spot of lunch, as we were in the area. They couldn’t offer us a table for two as they were fully booked (even though there were empty tables in the...restaurant for our entire hour’s visit). We chose three of their bar snacks instead - all of which were delicious (fish goujons, baked cheese and meze platter). If & when we are next in the Faversham area again, we shall make a reservation in advance. A beautiful out-of-the-way spot for a quiet drink, especially on a sunny day.More

Booked the same day, on a Saturday, for an early lunch as we had decided to do one of the Shepherd Neame circular pub walks that afternoon. So glad we did, what a lovely pub serving delicious food, and a beautiful walk to burn off...some of the calories afterwards! The staff were polite and friendly, and there was a lovely atmosphere. We ate inside by the fire, but there is a lovely garden and terraced outside area.More

Hello Thank you for your message. We serve until 4.30pm on a Sunday as we run a long lunch service instead of opening in the evening for dinner. Hope this helps

Very small parking area but a small field area is now being used. Not good for mobility challenged customers unless you drop them off at front entrance
