What a wonderful place to eat! Lovely bistro set in the middle of terraced houses. Great views over the bay. The staff are lovely and welcoming. We had a table by the window which was lovely. There is an outside terrace where you can sit and enjoy the view. If it is a little bit chilly there are blankets on... More

It was a sunny April day. After a morning of climbing, we were sweaty and looking for a big ol bite. First pub we rocked up to showed us the door, so we ventured to the moorings, and boy are we glad we did. They squeezed us right in there, without a whisper. Local beers were insanely delish, food was... More

We were a party of 7 seniors and they managed to fit us in for lunch at a little over an hour's notice. The weather was not good enough to sit outside on the verandah, so it was rather cosy inside, but a great atmosphere. The food was excellent. Plenty of variety on the menu, and all at quite reasonable... More

The food was very good and the service was excellent. Thoroughly recommend sitting on the verandah on nice day. We were lucky with a beautiful spring day. Nice to watch the boats on the estuary mouth.

Visiting "The Moorings" for my wife's birthday on Saturday 8th, this was our first visit here (will not be the last) the 3 of us were made very welcome by the staff. We ate a full 3 course dinner, all different selections, it was excellently prepared, served hot, unable to fault anything. Thank you staff, we will return, if we... More

We visited Moorings Bistro for a friend's 17th birthday. There were 7 of us and not a scrap of food left at the end of the meal. The food was incredible - between us we had steak, roast chicken in a cider sauce, lamb tagine, pork wellington and vegetable pie. The staff were all warm and friendly and couldn't do... More

The Moorings is a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. There is nice coffee's and a decent range of beers and wine. The food is well prepared and is typical bistro food. the best bit is the view, fantastic, sitting in the outside area, watching the boats bobbing about.

Not visited since change of ownership, so we were a bit wary. After reading the reviews on here decided to give it a go, we were not disappointed . We had to wait a while for our main course (apparently everything is cooked to order) but it was worth the wait.
