Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff here do not offer a warm welcome and shout a list of questions as if they will not let you sit in their massive empty terrace unless you ca n tell them how many people are coming and whether you are eating or...drinking. However once sat down they warm up a bit and provide quick service. The good is pretty good and the kids loved the crepes. A fantastic place to have a beer in the sun.More

Nice food but overcharged on card. Did not realise until after we left when I looked at my phone. The dirty garlic breathing French waiter. Be careful when paying

The worst restaurant experience in Avoriaz. We have been waiting for one hour. Very poor service . The only reason objective is making money without any respect . The food is correct.

The location is great and the piste side bar and music was cool Otherwise would avoid. Managed to serve a bad and bizarre coloured hotdog and tasteless frites. To make matters worse, €65 Euros for 5x hotdogs, 4 x chips and 2 X cans of...pop but wouldn't give me an empty chip tray to put sauces in and the chap was a bit rude about it to boot. Everywhere else in Avoriaz was super friendly so wouldn't be rushing back hereMore

We will often stop here, when we ski in Avoriaz. Its a friendly, welcoming restaurant and plenty of room both inside and outside. Food is high quality, service is superb.

The food was the worst i had ever tasted. My dad was afterwards very ill and vomited multiple times. The service was bad as well. There wasn’t any structure. I would never recommend this to someone.

We tried to eat as a family at Feb half term. We waited for 20 mins to be served and it took forever for food to be delivered . Food was average. It was nearly impossible to get a bill , threatening to leave did...the trick but they still didn’t want to take our money...we had to got the bar to pay. Staff are overworked and overstretched. Avoid.More

Dififcult day skiing with my fiance. Tough conditions including white outs and extremely cold temps. Ended up at Le Trappeurs, on Christmas Day. Sat ouside, ordered spaghetti bolognaise. Food was plentiful, delicious, hot and delivered to our table in minutes. The sun had come out...briefly, but then..... We heard a noise, a strange noise, and the snow started to fall again just as a large Sleigh came around the corrner and into view, only 3 metres from where we sat, pulled by Reindeer and steered by a large Father Christmas. It was a perfect moment. Couldn't have planned it, bought it or even imagined it. Even the member of staff serving us cheered. We were the only customers sat outside. They brought us a large glass of warmed wine as we sat and smiled like chashire cats. By the way this was NOT Aug 2019 but the box didnt give me an option for an earlier year so I chose one people would see was obviously wrongMore

Expensive mediocre food and rude service. The upside is the location which I’m pretty sure is the only reason this place is still open.

If the weather is good sit outside and eat from the Crepe bar which is good value. If weather not so good, indoors can get busy. Either way the food is good and service pretty quick. Prices on the high side for simple lunch but...nothing more than expected really. Highly recommend the onion soup !More

We visited this place twice and the service is so bad! The waiter and bearded chef are so rude. Are they getting paid? The food (snacks) are good though.

Took my toddler up the slopes for lunch with the rest of the family. Sat outside. Nice to watch lots of activity around and the deck chairs are lovely in warmer weather. Large group - nice tartiflette, nice croute dishes, mushroom pasta v tasty, cold...platters lovely... French onion soup was the only mediocre dish. Overall pleasant experience!More

Always visit this restaurant at least once. Highly recommend both the lasagne and the omelettes. Quick friendly service. Great to eat outside when sunny.
