This little cafe was a godsend. Catching the (very) early flight from Kirkwall to North Ronaldsay, with the return flight not til the end of the afternoon, and the island some 3-4 miles long, it's a lot of walking to get from the airport to...More

Very small cafe, can cater for about10 people at a time. Small menu choice but tasty food. Be prepared to wait as only 1 person doing order, cooking and serving, also runs shop across the corridor in the visitor centre.

We did not eat at the cafe but the menu looked wonderful. Adjacent to the cafe is a small shop that sells woolen goods made from the local North Ronaldsay sheep.

I returned this year to savour the lovely bere bannocks and homemade soup which did not disappoint. Tempted by beautiful brownies too! Helen was on hand with a welcome smile. She gave attention to all who were there that day. I visited the Island Life...More

We had a lovely freshly cooked lunch in the lighthouse cafe. My omelette and homemade chips were amazing. Could not be faulted. My friend had sausage eggs and chips which he said were equally yummy. Friendly and efficient service with a smile.

Helen has taken over this cafe from Mark (him of the legendary North Ronaldsay mutton pie which I never did get to taste), and she is cheerful and efficient in her dispensing of tasty cakes and great coffee, and at a very reasonable price. There...More

Great coffee and cakes and toasties. Helen is so helpful and friendly. You can eat in or outside. She also works on Wool Mill so sometimes you have to look in next door to get her - everyone on North Ronaldsay has more than one...More

This is much more than a cafe and its publicity seriously fails to do justice to a sensationally good eating place with a fascinating exhibition and high-quality gift shop add-ons. OK, as the blurb says, it's the most northerly but that in no way prepares...More
