We were looking for a place for lunch today, and found most places in the area are closed on a Monday. However we came across the Severn & Wye Smokery that was open! An immediate bonus!
The service was excellent and the food was delicious....More
Making the most of the March sun we decided to head down the road along the side of the Severn for a luxury breakfast. We had the omlette and Kedgeree which are just devine. Stocked up on some fish for suppers too which isnt cheap...More
As you walk in to the restaurant you get a good feeling - clean, light and airy. Good welcome from staff. From an extensive menu I chose mussels for my starter - they were some of the best I have tasted. The main I chose...More

This was our third trip to the new restaurant and was wonderful. Quality of the food is consistent and well worth the money.
Mussels and scallops glorious. Really like the Wye platter.
Now picked up a loyalty card, so we will be going back.
I found it hard to believe that a party of eight of us were travelling 40 minutes in each direction to visit a restaurant that seven of us had never heard of and the eighth person only knew of because her car engine blew up...More
Came here for lunch. Beautifully restored barn with fishmonger, deli, cafe and restaurant. We ate in the restaurant which was modern and comfortable with an open kitchen. Great menu. I shared a selection of starters with my son and my mum had a mixed platter....More

Hello, the old building is now closed and the new one is partly open. The deli and fish counter are up and running. Only the downstairs cafe is presently open for food. We visited today and found the menu very limited, the waiter were unsure of what was on specials and informed us fish quiche. We therefore opted for fish and chips which we do not usually order,
Later found there were other options available.
The cafe is quite large and large entrance doors are a problem with customers arriving and leaving. It created a cold draft and customers were moving away to find shelter at other tables.
The good news is that the upstairs restaurant will be open every day next week from midday, with a more comprehensive menu and I trust comfort
I hope this helps, enjoy your visit
